❤️MARTIN TRULY MEANS MORE❤️ This was too sweet of a shoutout not to share. 🥹 One of our now Kindergarten parents reached out about her son’s former VPK educator, Ms. Cassell and the impact she made on him not only as a current student, but even this year as he’s moved onto to Kindergarten. “The first week of this school year, Karter was nervous and having a hard time adjusting. Ms. Cassell would see him and say encouraging things to him and give him words of affirmation that would completely brighten his day,” Chelsea said. “She didn’t have to do that. He wasn’t her student anymore, but she still made the effort to make him feel seen and cared for.” And looking back on last year, his mom said she saw that same care in the way Ms. Cassell treated all of her students. While volunteering at the school, she watched her make sure every child felt included and had the opportunity to participate. When her son was away from school for an extended period, Ms. Cassell continued to make sure he knew he was remembered. And now, even though he’s moved on from her classroom, that care hasn’t changed: “Ms. Cassell goes above and beyond in ways that I don’t think can always be measured. Her love for teaching and, more importantly, her love for the children in her care shines through in everything she does. She has made such a positive impact on my son, and the fact that she has continued to show him that same kindness and love even after he left her classroom says so much about the kind of teacher she is.” That’s why Martin Means More. It’s these kinds of connections you can’t find anywhere else. ⚡POWERING UP THE COMMUNITY⚡

For some Warfield Elementary School students, this was their first time seeing a bucket truck up close—and they got to learn exactly how those trucks and the people who operate them help keep our community powered.

In recognition of Lineworker Appreciation Day, Florida Power & Light visited Warfield to introduce students to the important work and career opportunities of lineworkers.

Our students and staff had cards and banners ready to say thank you, but FPL had a few surprises of their own—bringing coffee and donuts for our staff and school supplies for students. ☕🍩📚

These kinds of hands-on “show and tells” give students a chance to see careers up close, ask questions and start imagining where their own interests might take them!

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) is warning families about fake and counterfeit squishy toys that may pose safety risks to children.

As a precaution, the Martin County School District will not provide squishy toys as classroom incentives, PBIS rewards or sensory items.

🎶❤️ALWAYS IN OUR HEARTS❤️🎶 Our thoughts and hearts go to the family, friends, and generations of Martin County students who had the privilege of knowing Mr. Ron Corbin. A true Martin County gem, for 34 years, Mr. Corbin led OPUS, Martin County High School’s choir, retiring in 2014 after dedicating his career to helping students find their voices and discover the joy of music. But his presence in our schools reached far beyond the music room. He was a devoted Tiger, volunteering as a scorekeeper for basketball and volleyball and traveling across the state to support Martin County High School athletics. Mr. Corbin gave so much of his life to our students, our schools and our community. His impact cannot be measured in years or accolades—it lives on in the countless students he encouraged, the music he helped create and the memories shared by those who knew him. We are deeply grateful for the life he shared with Martin County, and we will carry his memory with us, forever in our hearts. Once a Tiger, always a Tiger. #ALLINMartin👊
