🍓FNS PROVIDES FRESH FRUIT & VEGETABLE PLATTERS🥕
Research shows the importance of eating an assortment of fruits and vegetables in our daily lives (since each one has an array of vitamins and minerals our bodies need). By exposing students to a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables, our hope is to give each child participating in the Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program a life-long connection to fresh fruits and vegetables. Some of our students showed how grateful they were by writing letters about their fruits and veggies, https://bit.ly/39uKmKm. #ALLINMartin 👊 #PublicSchoolProud

The voter-approved half-mill property tax has funded an extra School Resource Officer (SRO) at each MCSD-operated high school for the last four years.
The Martin County School Board wants to know if you think this should be continued if the half-mill is renewed by voters on August 23, 2022.

🏆ACHIEVING EXCELLENCE 🏆
The Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) recently announced its Overall Academic Team Champions for the 2021-2022 school year, and Martin County's high schools absolutely DOMINATED the competition!
The Academic Team Champion recognition program honors teamwork not only in competition but also in the classroom. The program recognizes teams in each of the FHSAA’s sanctioned and recognized sports, naming an Academic Team Champion in each classification. To qualify, a school’s individual sports team must have a grade point average of at least a 3.0 on an unweighted 4.0 scale. The teams’ grade point averages are then compared to all other schools in the state with similar enrollment sizes.
🏆Jensen Beach High School FIRST place overall for Class 5A
🏆South Fork High School SECOND place overall for Class 6A
🏆Martin County High School SIXTH place overall for Class 6A

In partnership with the Center for Constitutional Values' Scholarship Fund and the YMCA of The Treasure Coast, the Martin County School District recently conducted the seventh annual “Constitution Academic Competition” finals round.
The event built upon a previous round of competition by which students from Jensen Beach High School, Martin County High School and South Fork High School debated the U.S. Supreme Court case Miller v. Alabama. The case addressed the constitutionality of enacting life sentences without parole for juveniles convicted of capital crimes. The students were randomly assigned to advocate a position during the first round of competition.
