Last week, 8th graders at Dr. David L. Anderson Middle School had the opportunity to meet with current high school students enrolled in Career & Technical Education (CTE) academies as well as representatives of businesses located throughout our community. Each District-operated middle school hosted an “Explore My Future” Showcase event to allow students to learn more about opportunities that would be available to them in high school and beyond.

Ms. E. Thelma Waters was a celebrated civic leader in the Village of Indiantown whom we celebrate for #BlackHistoryMonth!

🔬CELEBRATING STEM EXCELLENCE🔬
Martin County High School junior Mariel Scher has been selected as the Martin County School District's representative for the Florida Department of Education's 2022 Sunshine State Scholars program! Jensen Beach High School junior Jacob Breen has been selected as this year's alternate. The Sunshine State Scholars program recognizes Florida's top performing 11th graders in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).

🍎HONORING AN OUTSTANDING EDUCATOR🍎
Last evening, Superintendent John D. Millay and the Martin County School Board celebrated the career of Ms. Clare "Shelly" Hall, a 25-year veteran educator who will be retiring this year. Ms. Hall has spent the last 22 years of her career touching the lives of countless children at Felix A. Williams Elementary School.
"Ms. Hall has been a shining light to help guide our students not only in their academic learning, but also in helping them to develop great character," Principal Debbie Riley shared.
Thank you for your dedication to our students, Ms. Hall! We wish you all the best in your retirement.
