🌟SHINING ON A NATIONAL STAGE🌟
Four outstanding Martin County students participated in the Academic Games Leagues of America's (AGLOA) recent national tournament in Knoxville, Tennessee!
Martin County students participated in all three subject areas - LinguiSHTIK, Equations and Social Studies - at the national tournament. They had a wonderful experience exploring a new city and meeting students from throughout the country.

⚖CONSTITUTIONAL SCHOLARS SHINE⚖
In partnership with the Center for Constitutional Values' Scholarship Fund and the YMCA of The Treasure Coast, the Martin County School District held the final round of its annual Constitutional Academic Competition this week. Students from each District-operated high school debated the U.S. Supreme Court case "Miller v. Alabama" before presiding judges.
The case addressed the constitutionality of enacting life sentences without parole for juveniles convicted of capital crimes.

Monday - Friday, AmeriCorps members spend their time in classrooms working with students on their reading. The program is made possible through a partnership with the Boys & Girls Clubs and Volunteer Florida.

The Martin County School District hosted a celebration for its graduating Students Supporting Schools (S3) interns yesterday!
The S3 program is an initiative by which the District hires and trains students as part-time employees to serve in various paid and non-paid internships related to technology and graphic design.
Representatives of the Curriculum & Instruction and Educational Technology departments attended yesterday's ceremony to thank the student technicians for their service to the District.

Jordan plans to attend the University of Florida as a double major studying political science and international affairs. Her dream is to one day serve our country as a member of the U.S. Congress.
"I am forever grateful for how much Martin County has shaped me into who I am today," Jordan shares. "I would like to thank my brother and amazing debate coach, Mr. LoSardo, as well as Ms. Sawczak, Ms. Kalwa, Mr. Morin and Mr. Savela for being great teachers and influences in my life. I am so lucky to have great family and friends that have helped me during this journey, and I cannot wait to be a Gator!"

Nicole earned her Associate Degree from IRSC - Indian River State College through the dual enrollment program. She plans to attend Palm Beach Atlantic University - PBA's Doctor of Pharmacy program in the fall of 2023. Until then, she'll finish her prerequisites at IRSC. She hopes to complete a residency after pharmacy school to become a clinical/hospital pharmacist.
