🤖CELEBRATING EXCELLENCE IN STEM🤖
Superintendent Michael Maine and School Board members proudly honored the extraordinary accomplishments of FRC 180 S.P.A.M. following a truly historic 2025 season during Tuesday's meeting.
This year, S.P.A.M. ranked 24th in the world, placed 5th at the FIRST Robotics Competition World Championship in Houston—winning the Galileo Division—along with two regional competitions and the two Autonomous Awards.
South Fork High School student and team president Zachary Dean was named a FIRST Dean’s List Award recipient—representing all of South Florida on the world stage.
Capping off an unforgettable season, S.P.A.M. received the FIRST Impact Award, the highest honor in the competition, recognizing the team’s lasting contributions to STEM education and outreach in Martin County.
The team, in turn, presented Impact Award medals to the School Board in appreciation for their continued support and investment in STEM education, including the team’s state-of-the-art facility.
Congratulations, S.P.A.M.! Your perseverance, ingenuity and commitment to excellence will continue to pave the way for future success! 🎉👏

For the THIRD YEAR in a row, South Fork High School's Procyon yearbook has earned a spot in Varsity Yearbook’s Portfolio Vol. 30—a showcase of the top 10% of yearbooks in the U.S. and Canada!
Out of more than 800 submissions, the 2024 volume's coverage of the drama department stood out thanks to the countless hours, collaboration, and real-world skills of the yearbook staff and editors, all under the expert guidance of Mrs. Laura Green!

Several Martin County School District students were recently recognized for their creativity during Congressman Brian Mast's annual Congressional Art Competition ceremony for Florida’s 21st District.
This annual event shines a spotlight on student talent, offering young artists the opportunity to showcase their work, and even earn a place in a yearlong exhibit at the U.S. Capitol!
A big congratulations to Martin County High School student Jaime Lopes for earning 2nd place in the competition!
Congratulations also goes to MCHS students Brooklyn Kelly, Daniel Borovina, Reagan Tschudi, and South Fork High School student Olivia Tingley for earning an Honorable mention for their artwork!

Cody is a very hard worker and a God fearing man; with the heart of gold and a strength like no other. It will be great to see the wonders of his future."

🛥️⚓️BOATING SAFETY⚓️🛥️
Did you know Martin County School District students, plus one of their parents, can attend a Safe Boating Class for FREE and obtain their official Florida Boating License?
Anyone born after January 1, 1988, must have the Official Florida Boating License to legally operate a boat, jet ski, etc. With so many beautiful beaches, rivers, and lakes around us and summer around the corner, there’s no better time to learn the rules of the water!
This free class is hosted by the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, Flotilla 59, Stuart, Florida every 3rd Saturday of the month, which means May 17 is their next class. Students must be at least 12 years old. Sign up ➡️ http://cgaux59.org and stay safe on the water! 🌊

"Meet Costantino Julius Padovano, known to friends and family simply as CJ," proud mom Felicia wrote. "CJ is a Martin County High School Class of 2025 senior making the most of his final year. A proud member of the school’s Culinary Arts program, CJ has a clear vision for his future. After graduating, he plans to serve his country by joining the United States Air Force and pursuing a career in engineering. As the youngest of four brothers, CJ is ready to leave his mark on the world, carrying on his family’s legacy to hard work and dedication to our country."
"CJ is soaking up the moments of his senior year, balancing his high school, dual enrollment and his interests, and making plans for the exciting journey ahead," Felicia continued. "His passion for hospitality and engineering and his commitment to serving in the Air Force, there’s no doubt that CJ has a bright future ahead of him. CJ's dedication and skill were recently recognized when he and his fellow Academy of Culinary Arts students secured 2nd place overall at the Florida ProStart Program Culinary Team Competition held from March 1-2, 2024. This impressive achievement highlights his commitment to excellence in the culinary field. We wish CJ the best of luck in his final year and can’t wait to see all he accomplishes in the Air Force and beyond!"
