🍎EDUCATING ALL STUDENTS FOR SUCCESS🍎
Our Office of Purchasing, Warehousing, Reprographics & Property Control has had the pleasure of mentoring and providing on-the-job training to two amazing students - Ethan and Katie - as part of the Project SEARCH program this school year.
Operated locally by our Exceptional Student Education Department, Project SEARCH is a one-year transition program for students with disabilities who are 18-21 years of age and who have deferred or are in the process of deferring their standard high school diploma and also meet the eligibility requirements for Vocational Rehabilitation's Supported Employment Program. Each day, student interns report to their host business to learn employability skills. Students participate in three internships/experiences during the year. In their classes, they define their career goals and plan necessary steps to achieve those goals.
Staff recently presented Ethan and Katie with personalized nameplates and notepads to thank them for their excellent work this semester. Both students were thrilled with the professional recognition and look forward to transitioning to their new work assignments within the District.

🌎 CULTIVATING KINDNESS🌎
The Martin County School District is proud to celebrate #WorldKindnessDay, a global event that promotes the importance of being kind and generous to each other and our world.
Many students throughout the District are currently going #ALLINMartin👊, cultivating kindness and giving back to our local community by participating in Elev8hope Compassion in Action's Thanksgiving basket drive, which will provide holiday food items to needy families in our community.

🎼STANDING OVATION🎼
More than 200 young men representing our middle and high schools performed in last evening's sixth annual Men's Choir Day at Jensen Beach High School. Special thanks to Mr. Paul of Jensen Beach High School and Ms. Caswell of Murray Middle School for their work in organizing this memorable event, which has seen the number of participants grow each year. A round of applause goes out to all of our student performers and choir directors - the JBHS auditorium was full of pleased parents and community spectators!

🚀 ROCKETS TAKE FLIGHT🚀
J. D. Parker Elementary School fourth-graders recently worked to construct a rocket while also determining ways to keep spacecraft “passengers” safe. The students used eggs as their passengers - if an egg cracked, it didn’t survive the mission. The students were able to keep two eggs intact for their flights. Way to go, Rockets!

💕ALL THE FEELS💕
Warfield Elementary School Principal Crissy Smith recently sent cards to her former students who now attend Indiantown Middle School.
Principal Smith reminded the students that she will always believe in them and that they should continue giving their best effort.
Every child, every day. #ALLINMartin👊
