📆MAKEUP DAY INFORMATION📆 Martin County School District students will NOT be required to make up the days missed due to the recent hurricanes. Fortunately, after a thorough review of the District’s instructional calendar, students will still meet state requirements and complete the academic year without the need to use make-up days at this time. We are committed to supporting the community with ongoing recovery efforts, including through the Education Foundation of Martin County’s relief fund for employees and families, providing free meals for students, and offering credit for last week’s Extended Day services. ⭐️COMMUNITY SUPPORT FOR SUCCESS⭐️ Did you know--the Stuart Martin Chamber of Commerce is one of the most recent organizations to endorse the the renewal of the existing millage referendum? Since 2018, funding from the existing millage referendum has helped provide critical resources for our schools, such as additional school resource officers, mental health programs, and funding to recruit, retain, and train top teachers and staff to provide quality education. When Martin County voters head to the polls on November 5, they will see a request to renew the existing millage referendum. A renewal of the millage will allow the district to continue funding these essential services that directly support students and the community. 🌀REOPENING UPDATE🌀 **Update 3 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 10: Schools and offices in the Martin County School District will resume operations on Monday, October 14. The majority of our campuses were fortunately spared from receiving severe damage and have been cleared for a safe return to classes. Murray Middle School did sustain significant damage, but thanks to our team’s remarkable cleanup efforts today and over the weekend, students and staff will be able to return Monday, utilizing areas of the campus that remained unaffected. Safety remains our highest priority, and we are committed to providing a secure learning environment as repairs continue. Our thoughts and prayers are with our families and neighbors as we all continue to rebuild from Hurricane Milton, and we stand ready to support our students, families, and staff in any way possible.
