💕🏡HOPEFUL HEARTS UNITE🏡💕
This morning, the House of Hope honored community members and businesses helping to provide resources to those who need a little extra help in Martin County.
The Martin County School District received a HOPE Award for a longstanding partnership with the House of Hope through the Exceptional Student Education Department's Career Experiences Programs-- Martin S.A.I.L.S. and Project SEARCH.
Career Experiences aims to secure employment for high school students with disabilities by providing opportunities to gain and master job skills at businesses and organizations like House of Hope.
Deputy Superintendent Dr. Tracey Miller, Assistant Superintendent of Student Support Services Lisa Estevez, Director of Exceptional Student Education Wilma Almestica-Sanchez, and Coordinator of Exceptional Student Education Patti Crooks were all in attendance as Dr. Elizabeth Jekanowski, the Program Specialist for Career Experiences, and Job Coach Jim Grace accepted the award.
We are grateful for our partnership with House of Hope and for this humbling recognition. Together, we'll continue to make a difference in the lives of our students and community!

💵📈STOCK ABOUT IT📈💵
The Martin County School District's Personal Financial Literacy Teachers recently teamed up to talk lesson plans for this brand-new course.
In March, Governor Ron DeSantis signed Senate Bill 1054, requiring high school students to take a financial literacy course to receive a standard high school diploma.
With first-year teacher Mr. Terrell Mabins leading the way, our Personal Financial Literacy Teachers collaborate to create an encompassing curriculum to educate and empower our students. This curriculum aims to give our students the knowledge and skills to make wise financial choices and pave the way for a prosperous future.
