🇺🇲ALWAYS THANKFUL🇺🇲 SeaWind Elementary students recently performed a special program in honor of Veteran's Day. Mr. Elliott Harris, SeaWind's Related-Arts Team, parent volunteers, teachers and students worked incredibly hard to ensure the show went on, despite a delay by Hurricane Nicole. The special program included performances by ALL students, a few guest speakers, and special recognition of SeaWind veteran staff members. South Fork High School's JROTC students also participated by presenting the flags. 👀 Watch for a beautiful performance tribute to our veterans: https://youtu.be/lSLOdBgA-fA #ALLINMartin👊

🚒COMMUNITY HEROES🚒 First grade students at Warfield Elementary School are working on the Benchmark unit: Being a Good Community Member. For their lesson, "Firefighters to the Rescue," students met the very people they were reading about! Shout out to the Martin County Fire Rescue of Indiantown for teaching students about the gear they wear, what to do in case of a fire and how to stop, drop, and roll. Students also toured three of the different vehicles used by MCFR, and learned about the important equipment inside each vehicle, like the jaws of life! Students now better understand why people get involved in their community, and they had a blast learning about it! #ALLINMartin👊 #MCSDTheRippleEffect

📞CAN YOU HEAR ME NOW📞 For their sound energy unit, Ms. Zilly's fifth grade class at Port Salerno Elementary School read "Horton Hears a Who." The students wondered why everyone couldn’t hear The Whos like Horton could, so students investigated sound energy. Students made and experimented with string telephones and found evidence that sound travels through vibrations! They wrote letters to Horton explaining sound energy and how it travels. #ALLINMartin👊 #PublicSchoolProud
