WELCOME BACK, TEACHERS! 🫶🍎🎉

Behind every great school year is a great teacher.

🎉CELEBRATING SCIENTIFIC ACHIEVEMENT🎉

A huge congratulations to Martin County High School senior Ariana Perez, who recently finished the highly competitive Max Planck Florida Institute for Neuroscience (MPFI) Summer Internship Program!

Ariana was one of just seven students chosen from across the region—and the only student from the Martin County School District—to spend six weeks conducting advanced neuroscience research alongside scientists at MPFI. Her internship concluded with a scientific poster presentation and a final talk on her experience.

We're incredibly proud of Ariana for representing MCSD with excellence! Through this, she hopes other Martin County students know this opportunity is within reach, and encourages her peers to apply in the future. We, too, hope to see more MCSD names on that list! 🔬🌟

📆 T-2 WEEKS UNTIL SCHOOL! 📆

August 11 is coming in hot, and guess what? Only 30% of our families have filled out the back-to-school forms in the FOCUS Parent Portal.

That means 70% are about to log in on August 7 like:“Where’s my kid’s schedule?” “Why can’t I see anything?” “Wait… we had to do forms?” 🤷‍♂️

Yes. Yes, you do. Here’s how it works: ✅ Do the forms ➡️ Unlock the schedule ✨ Avoid the chaos Help us help you. Do the forms. Be the hero. 💪

🏁RACING TO #1🏁

Today, school and District leaders hit the ground running—literally! From solving clues to racing (safely) around Martin County, teams explored the local landmarks and hidden gems that make our A-rated District shine. Take a look at the photos and see if you recognize some of the pitstops! ☀️✨

🥇1st Place: Dark Red
🥈2nd Place: Dark Pink
🥉3rd Place: Green

But this race wasn’t just about bragging rights (although some might say so 😉)—it was about building stronger connections across campuses and departments, all in pursuit of one goal: sustaining our A and climbing toward #1. 💪

Huge thanks to the Environmental Studies Center for hosting our starting and finishing lines, and to the incredible local sites that let our leaders learn more about the place we proudly serve.

Also, huge shoutout to our Professional Learning Department for such a great way to kick off our Leadership Days, and to the crews who helped get it all set up!

Fossil fun was in full swing at Palm City Elementary School Extended Day Summer Camp, where students had a jaw-some time exploring the world of sharks with Jurassic Parts Outreach Programs’ Shark Tooth Lab!

Campers got up close with real shark jaws and teeth, learned how to identify and categorize fossilized chompers, and even created their own shark tooth necklaces. 🦷🌊

It’s just one of the many fun, enriching experiences happening in our A-rated District this summer!

For 34 years, Ms. Arnette Graham has greeted students with a warm smile as they stepped onto her bus each morning—a simple gesture that set the tone for their day.

As a student delivery specialist, Ms. Graham was a trusted presence for students, a reassuring voice for families, and a dependable teammate for colleagues.

On Tuesday, Superintendent Michael Maine and School Board members honored her incredible service as she enters retirement.
