Fourth graders are officially Mangrove Experts! 🌿🌊 They recently went on their field trip to the Environmental Studies Center, and the cold weather did not stop them from learning! Our students explored, observed, and identified all the different types of mangroves like true scientists. #BCEGators #LearninginAction #UnstoppableTogether

The 5th graders at Bessey Creek Elementary had a week full of fun! They enjoyed an exciting field trip to Sailfish Sands Golf Course, where they practiced their swings in the high-tech hitting bays and learned how technology tracks golf ball speed and distance. Students also connected the experience to their science lessons by exploring force and motion, along with kinetic and potential energy. ✨STELLAR SPELLERS SHINE✨ The 60th Annual Lillian A. Dassori Elementary Spelling Bee brought together some of our brightest young wordsmiths for an exciting competition this evening! After 10 competitive rounds, Jaxson Quiros from Bessey Creek Elementary School claimed the championship title by correctly spelling the winning word — hyperventilated! 🏆👏 🥈 Runner-Up: Isabel Johnson, Treasure Coast Classical Academy 🥉 Runner-Up: Sheriff Fiske, SeaWind Elementary - Hobe Sound, FL From scalpel and amicable to raise and dinosaur, our students rose to the challenge and represented their schools with pride. We rolled out the red carpet for our future Star Gators and loved welcoming them to BCE while sharing what makes Bessey such a special school family.
