We rolled out the red carpet for our future Star Gators and loved welcoming them to BCE while sharing what makes Bessey such a special school family. A huge thank-you to our invested PTA, Dad’s Crew, Extended Day, Food & Nutrition, and—our true stars—our amazing volunteers, teachers, and staff! Our BCE VPK students had a wonderful time celebrating Literacy Week with our Read, White, and Blue theme! From reading together to hands-on activities, our learners truly showed the joy that books and imagination bring.

Students explored literacy through engaging center activities, built letters and numbers, practiced early reading skills, and created patriotic art projects inspired by our theme.💙❤️🤍

🎥LEAVING LEGACIES: STUDENT FILM CONTEST🎥

Submissions are now open for Inwater Research Group's Youth-Driven Cinema Film Festival! Martin County students are invited to get creative and bring their ideas to life through short films inspired by this year’s theme: Leaving Legacies – Your Voice. Your Planet. Your Legacy.

The top five films from elementary, middle, and high school will be showcased at the festival—giving students a chance to see their work on the big screen!

We are halfway through Literacy Week and have already enjoyed so many amazing experiences! We welcomed the Peter and Julie Cummings Library, along with local historians/authors Sandra Thurlow and Jacqui Thurlow-Lippisch, who shared their knowledge of Palm City history with our students. 📖🏫 Students also participated in Stop, Drop, and Read, taking time out of the day to pause and enjoy a good book.
