Newfield Farm continues to be a cherished community partner for CGE. Earlier this week they visited our campus with James Fitzgerald who represented their builder, Mattamy Homes USA. They were here to help us make Principal Ryncaβs and our leadership teamβs beautification dream come true. Mr. Thomas, our Plant Operator, has worked diligently to return our sprinkler system to a dependable level and we are ready to make our campus exterior look as fabulous as our interior. With the help of Mattamy and Newfield - consider these our βbeforeβ pictures. We have big plans! #commitmenttoourcommunity #mcsdspirit #beautificationproject #WeAreCitrus #DifferentHere

It is NEVER safe to look directly into the sun with the naked eye. For more information on how to view the solar eclipse next week, please visit: https://www.martinschools.org/article/1532351

πCHOOSING THE BESTπ
During an Emergency Meeting held this evening, the Martin County School Board voted to add Martin County High School and Jensen Beach High School to the list of approved Controlled Open Enrollment schools for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year.
This means in AND out-of-county residents can apply to ANY MCSD-operated school during the application period that will open tomorrow, March 1 β March 31.
For high school students, applications for signature programs are no longer required as part of the Choice process, but must be completed if your child would like to be considered for entrance into a signature program.
βΉοΈStudents accepted into a Controlled Open Enrollment choice option must have their own mode of transportation to and from school. Students are not required to renew their applications annually and will be permitted to attend their chosen school through the highest grade level offered on the campus.

For the first time ever, CGE competed in Odyssey of the Mind this weekend. Mrs. Tammy Reinhart facilitated the group which has prepared and practiced for more than two months. OM is a STEAM problem-solving competition held on regional, state, and world levels. Unfortunately we will not be moving on to the state competition but it was a fantastic experience for our team: Jaelyn Miller, Eden Gardy, Ella Salcedo, Xander Boysen, Aidan Greene, Alda Rock, and Susie Smith.
βIt was an absolute blast,β said Mrs. Reinhart. βItβs tough to know our journey is over but the learning experience and camaraderie of our group was inspirational. This is a very talented group of studentsβ.
Congratulations Diamondbacks- thanks for representing CGE with professionalism and a ton of smarts!

Citrus Grove had a fantastic evening at the MCSD Elementary Stem Fair on Thursday! Raazia and Kyleigh took 2nd place for their team project in the environmental category, and
Vincenzoβs individual physics project, earned 3rd place. These three students are proud Diamondbacks in Vanessa Molina-Councilβs classroom.
We also had FOUR classroom project winners: Mrs. Reinhart and Mrs. Lambert earned 2nd place honors, Mrs. Molina-Council earned 3rd place, and Mrs. Wendischβs class received Honorable Mention.
This is the most winners CGE has ever had! Kudos to Mrs. Gibson for running our school based fair.
Additionally, we had many alumni invited to the regional fair for 6-12th grades, including students who will move on to the state competition. CGE is proud of our tradition as a science-focused school!π€©π€©
