🍎LEAVING A LEGACY🍎 On Tuesday night, Superintendent Michael Maine and the Martin County School Board celebrated the career of South Fork High School's Ms. Tera Parsons. Ms. Parsons has served the Martin County School District for 32 amazing years. She is a product of MCSD, as she is an alum of Warfield Elementary School, Indiantown Middle School and South Fork High School. Being a student in the District helped point her to her dream career: teaching in the District she grew up attending. She started her career at the very first school where she began her educational journey, Warfield Elementary. Ms. Parsons put her heart and soul into teaching. "Tera is the epitome of an educational professional and, most importantly, one of the most amazing ESE teachers I’ve worked with in my lifetime," friend and colleague Julie Butler shared. Thank you, Ms. Parsons, for your passion for education and for always pitching in to help out your teammates over the last 32 years! Superintendent Maine’s family joined school district staff for the occasion, allowing many of the employees in attendance the opportunity to meet and greet while enjoying delicious refreshments provided by our Food & Nutrition Services team. The Martin County School Board named Mr. Maine the Martin County School District’s Superintendent of Schools in April 2023, approving a four-year initial employment contract as part of the measure. #ALLINMartin👊

⚾AVID ALL-STARS⚾ 7th and 8th-grade students recently attended the College Fair and Speaker Series at the Miami Marlins stadium, where they explored local colleges and various career paths. More than 110 Martin County School District students participated, and after the fair, they were invited to the baseball game! On top of that perk, Gavin Farrell, an 8th-grade student at Dr. David L. Anderson Middle, was honored to throw the first pitch of the game, representing AMS and the District as an AVID student! #ALLINMartin👊

Martin County School Board Member Christia Li Roberts, District 1, continued her tradition of rewarding high-achieving readers at Indiantown Middle School!
