Weโre celebrating Manufacturing Month at JBE by inspiring students to explore the exciting world of manufacturing, engineering, robotics, design, and innovation!
Our Media Center features a special book display highlighting these topics, and students are enjoying discovering how creativity, technology, and problem-solving shape the world around us.
Students will also explore manufacturing and engineering career pathways through Xello during computer lab, connecting what theyโre learning today to exciting possibilities for their future!
Martin County School District families are invited to this monthโs Parent Workshop focused on Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD). Families will learn more about characteristics of students who may experience difficulties in reading, math, and writing, as well as ways to better understand and support struggling learners.

Mrs. Engelโs first grade mathematicians were building addition fluency and teamwork this week! โ๐๐
Students worked in teams to solve addition facts independently, then compared their answers. When everyoneโs answers matched, it was hands in for a team cheer! ๐
We love seeing our Vikings learning, collaborating, and celebrating each otherโs success!

We are so excited to welcome Lisa to the JBE family as an ESE Paraprofessional!
Lisa is married and has three children and five grandchildren whom she absolutely adores. When sheโs not at JBE, her favorite thing to do is spend time with her family and make memories with the people she loves most.
We are so happy to have Lisa joining our ESE team and supporting our students each day. Please help us give her a warm Viking welcome! ๐๐

Our JBE Eco-Action Team is taking environmental stewardship beyond the classroom and into our community!
Several of our amazing student Eco-Action Team members will be hosting a table featuring fun coloring and hands-on activities, along with an opportunity to support the ESC through our Adopt-a-Habitat Program!
Through this student-led initiative, our Vikings are helping raise funds to support the care of animals and their habitats at the ESC. What a wonderful way for our students to put leadership, conservation, and community service into action!
If you're attending today's Open House, be sure to stop by our table, meet our young environmental leaders, and support their efforts!
Small hands can make a BIG difference!

Mrs. McIntyreโs second graders have been exploring the amazing animals of the Everglades! ๐๐ฟ
As part of their study, students learned about alligators and other animals that call the Everglades home, including how they live, what they eat, and the important role alligators play in the Everglades ecosystem.
We loved seeing our Vikingsโ curiosity and excitement as they learned more about one of Floridaโs most unique ecosystems! ๐๐

Mrs. McIntyreโs second graders put their math thinking into action with Building Thinking Classrooms! ๐ง โ
Students worked together to tackle two-digit addition problems, sharing strategies, persevering through challenges, and learning from one another along the way. We loved seeing their focus, confidence, and collaboration as they strengthened their math skills!
Way to go, Vikings! ๐๐

๐โจ Apple Day in Kindergarten! โจ๐
We had the BEST time learning all about apples! Our little scientists explored the parts of an apple, learned about the apple life cycle, measured the height of our apples, counted apple seeds, made apple volcanoes ๐๐, and made predictions about whether our apples would sink or float! ๐
And of course, we ended our day with some delicious apple tasting and homemade apple pie in a cup! ๐ฅง๐
So much learning, experimenting, predicting, counting, measuring, and tasting all in one sweet day!
Thank you to all of our wonderful parent volunteers for all your help with this special day! โค๏ธ๐โจ

Thank you, Coach Dictor, for encouraging, supporting, and inspiring our students! We appreciate all you do for our JBE Vikings! ๐๐

Join the JBE Eco-Action Team and Martin MPO on Wednesday, October 7th at 7:10 AM as we kick off the day with some fresh air, movement, and school spirit!
Students and families are encouraged to walk, bike, or roll to school and help us celebrate healthy habits, safe routes, and a fun start to the morning.
We hope to see lots of our Vikings participating! Be safe, wear your helmet, and letโs roll!
๐๐ Retro Recess fun at JBE! ๐
Our Vikings had the opportunity to cash in the Viking Vouchers theyโve been earning through PBIS for a special Retro Recess celebration! Students enjoyed some old-school recess fun while celebrating the positive choices and behaviors that helped them earn their vouchers.
Here are some of our Kindergarten Vikings having a blast at Retro Recess! We love giving our students opportunities to celebrate their hard work while building a positive and fun school community. ๐
A huge thank you to our PBIS team for planning and organizing such a fun experience for our students and to our wonderful parent volunteers who helped make the event possible. We appreciate you! ๐๐
