This happens when the moon passes directly between Earth and the sun, momentarily casting a shadow and blocking the sun's light. Mrs. Thibodeau and Ms. Cathy's JBE VPK Mini-Vikings had an opportunity to visit the House of Hope Traveling Garden today. The children used their senses of sight, touch, and smell to explore the different colors and textures in the variety of plants in the garden. We even had two children taste purple cauliflower and they liked it! The children enjoyed this opportunity and what great timing as we just began the "Watch it Grow" unit of our curriculum. Thank you to the House of Hope for providing our students with this awesome opportunity!

Everyone wins when you incorporate food into lessons. Mrs. Clark's 2nd graders used cookies and water to help them better understand the process of erosion.

Bringing some sweet, colorful fun to Extended Day during Spring Break!

Ms. Frostrom's class visited the House of Hope Traveling Nutrition Education Garden and learned about different plants and the food chain.

Ms. Frostrom's class read A Dinosaur Named Sue and learned about paleontology in our Benchmark lessons. Students wrapped up the unit by digging for their own fossils.
