JBHS Homecoming 2025
✍️Students in Mrs. Seaboyer’s AICE class sharpened their essay skills through a creative, current-events-based project. Each student designed a Modern Time Capsule Poster, highlighting the top five events of 2025 across categories like Government/Politics, Science/Technology, Social Movements, Media/Entertainment/Sports, and the Environment. They summarized each event, explained its global or societal impact, and added visuals.

The posters were showcased in a gallery walk in the Innovation Center, where students explored each other’s work and selected their top three stories per category. These selections will help guide their next essay topics this quarter—rooted in both relevance and personal interest.📝

🐖📚 In a unit on George Orwell's Animal Farm, Ms. Nicholas's English I Honors students researched and created posters about topics from the Russian Revolution. Next they participated in a Gallery Walk in which they connected the characters and events from Animal Farm to their historical counterpart to understand allusion and how real events can inspire fictional stories. The a-ha moments were priceless! 🩵🦅🖤
