Sophomore Aiden Wintercorn led the team with a high school of 192. Freshman Russell Law bowled a personal high of 175. The girls’ team moved to 12-1 on the season with their win over Centennial. Junior Hannah Whetzel and Sophomore Lizzie Fitzwater bowled a 232 and 165 respectively to lead the Lady Falcons. ⚠️NATIONWIDE ALERT⚠️ Around this time tomorrow, the Federal Emergency Management Agency FEMA and the Federal Communications Commission are planning to test both the Emergency Alert System (EAS) and Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA). The test will occur Wednesday, October 4, at 2:20 p.m. It will be conducted in two parts, with one set to go to cell phones and the other to radio and TV stations. FEMA says the alert will have a unique tone and vibration to make the alert accessible to all recipients. Phones should receive the message only once in the 30 minutes after the test begins on Wednesday. #ALLINMartin👊

📚PRESERVING MEMORIES📚 High school yearbook teams recently created their own memories as they gained experience to preserve the memories for their classmates. The yearbook teams at Jensen Beach High School, Martin County High School and South Fork High School ventured to Pompano Beach High School for the District 7 Florida Scholastic Press Association (FSPA) workshop. More than 850 students gathered to learn tips and tricks from professionals in journalism and yearbook production. The induction ceremony is on October 2. Our next general meeting is Wednesday, October 4th after school in the cafeteria. “See You at the Pole National Day of Prayer” is tomorrow, Wednesday 9/27, at 7:30 a.m. We can’t wait to gather as a student body to pray over JBHS! All are welcome. Attention class of 2027: Freshman Parent Information Night is tonight, Tuesday, from 6:00 PM- 7:00 PM in the auditorium (Performing Arts Center). After the presentation, administrators and counselors will be available to answer any questions you still have about graduation requirements, testing, scholarships, and how to prepare for life after high school. Thursday, 9/28, there will be an SGA general member meeting at 7:45 a.m. in the cafeteria. Sports News: Anyone who wants to play girls’ basketball: Meet at the weight room from 6:00-7:15 p.m. today and Thursday this week. Over the weekend, the boys' bowling team placed 6th in the 16th annual High School Challenge at the Kegel Training Center on Saturday. The tournament included 12 of the top teams from around the state. Led by Seniors Chase McNamara, Kasey Davis, Vaughn Berhoff, and Geroge Secor, Junior Henry Dieffenbach, and Sophomore Aiden Wintercorn, the Falcons rolled a team total of 2869, making them the top school from the Treasure Coast. The Lady Falcons placed 5th overall rolling a team total of 1913. Juniors Hannah Whetzel and Grace Pettit, along with sophomores Lizzie Fitzwater, Dani Bell, and Chris Bell, and senior Abby Fitzwater combined to be the second-highest scoring team from the Treasure Coast. Good luck to the boys’ golf and boys’ and girls’ bowling teams who have matches today after school!
