Calling all Juniors: this Thursday, March 23rd, Peer Forward is hosting a resume workshop! The goal of the workshop is to help you create a resume that you will use for your college applications this summer and for scholarship applications next fall. If you are interested, please join us in the Media Center on Thursday after school from 3:05 pm to 4:00 p.m. If you have any questions please see Mr. Ferro or any of the other Peer Leaders.
Students interested in taking Dual Enrollment at IRSC: There is a new application process and Live Sessions every Thursday at 3:00 PM. Information can be found in your Class Google Classroom.
Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) will visit Jensen Beach High School tomorrow, Wednesday, March 22nd from 9:15 AM-10:00 AM. Students who submitted a request form to the guidance office may attend.
Wilkes Honors College will visit Jensen Beach High School on Tuesday, March 28th from 9:15AM-10:00AM. If you want to attend the presentation, you MUST pick up a request form in the guidance office by March 27th.

The Flag Football team takes on the Centennial Eagles tonight in the Birdcage! JV plays at 6 and Varsity plays at 7 pm.
Come out and cheer the teams on to victory! Any student with an ID and wearing black, teal, or silver gets in for free!
Our baseball teams will play FPC tonight at home. The games begin at 6:00 PM. Come on out to cheer them on!
The JBHS Softball team will take on MCHS at the Tiger’s stadium. Head down to Stuart if you’re able! Their game begins at 6:30 PM.
Our tennis teams will travel to Okeechobee HS today for an away match.

This morning, we are shining a spotlight on Jensen Beach High School senior Nic Colbert!
"Nic transferred to Jensen Beach High School in the middle of his Junior year and has loved every moment at JBHS! Nic is so grateful to the outstanding teachers and staff at JBHS that made his mid year move a easy transition," proud mom Tammie shared.
"Nic is on the Cross Country team and holds the school record and placed 7th at the State Finals. Nic is also on the Track and Field team holding the school record in the 1600m. Nic’s dedication and success in running during his high school years has been amazing to watch. Nic is also a member of the National Honor Society."
Nic has committed to Palm Beach Atlantic University - PBA on a running and academic scholarship and will pursue a degree in International Business and Franchising.

Youth Driven Cinema’s video contest is back! This year’s theme is “Born to be Wild”. The Mission of Youth Driven Cinema is to educate and engage the youth of Martin County by fostering community involvement within the arts and sciences. Students, you are tasked with creating a short video that follows a particular conservation-based theme and you are encouraged to use your imagination. Boys Varsity lacrosse beat Sebastian River last night 11 to 3.
Sophomore HESTON GARDINER had 3 Goals.
Senior CHRIS SANISCALCHI, Junior CONNOR FERRERIA, and Sophomore HUDSON WILFONG scored a pair of goals each.
Senior GIO CASCIONE and Junior EMMETT BALFOORT contributed a goal each.

It was an exciting morning on campus at Jensen Beach High School!
Not only was the breakfast Food and Nutrition Services served up delicious, but Miami Dolphins player Jevon Holland visited!
For #NationalSchoolBreakfastWeek, FNS had a promotion challenging the high schools to increase breakfast participation to win a breakfast event with Mr. Holland. JBHS students soared and doubled the number of breakfast orders!
Thank you to the Florida Fuel Up to Play 60 and Jevon Holland for making this event happen! We know our students loved it!

Congratulations to the JBHS Track & Field athletes who attended the Cobra Relay meet last night in Fort Pierce. The boys relay team of Albert, Brooks, Justin and Nic won 1st place in the boys' distance medley relay; and the girls relay team of Carmyn, Chloe, Zoe and Ava took 2nd in the girls' 4x800 relay.

The girls' tennis team beat Vero Beach in yesterday's home match by a score of 7-0 to move to 8-0 for the season.

The Varsity team beat South Fork 27-0 last night as well. Paige Bressman threw 4 TD passes and the defense had their second shutout in a row! Both teams play again tonight against Wellington here at home. JV at 6 and Varsity at 7!
We have two other home games tonight - The JV baseball team will play Martin County High School at 6:00 PM. The girls’ lacrosse team will play Jupiter at 6:30. Come on out to cheer on our Falcon athletes!

All athletes must provide a current HIGH SCHOOL physical on the first day of clinics. These are different from middle school forms. On the first day of clinics, all athletes must turn in the tryout packet, including contact information, teacher recommendations, and a copy of their report card.
All team members will receive and be required to turn in signed copies of the season handbook prior to the first practice.

The Jensen Beach High School band has taken over Washington, D.C.!
The Falcons participated in the Wreath Ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, played patriotic music at the WW II Memorial, and enjoyed a special tour of the Capitol Building.
The flag was flown in honor of the JBHS band and high school. Falcon Band members, who are also JROTC cadets, had the distinct, once-in-a-lifetime honor of folding the flag in the lobby of the United States Capitol Building.
What an amazing trip!

In comeback fashion, the JENSEN BEACH WRESTLING TEAM stormed back, went 4-4 in the STATE FINALS, and captured their 2nd consecutive TEAM STATE TITLE beating Somerset 177.5 to 170.0.
JBHS now has four state champions: At 120 pounds Sebastian Degennaro - now a 2X State Champ; at 126 pounds Ryan Mooney; at 145 pounds Jewell Williams - now a 2X State Champ; and at 152 pounds Dylan Fox. This is the first time in the history of the Martin County School district that one school has four state champions. The other state qualifiers were 3rd Place finishers: at 113 pounds Gian Ortiz and at 195 pounds Nate Sopotnick. Our 4th Place finisher was: at 106 pounds Ben Norris. Our 8th Place finishers were: 132 pounds Charlie Armstrong; and at 182 pounds Malachi Harriel.

Congratulations to the Falcon Softball team on their 10-1 win over Okeechobee Friday night. They capped off a 3-0 week with the win. Home action will return after spring break. Be sure to come out and catch a game!

Clinics: TODAY Monday, March 6 through March 8, 2023, @ 4:45-6:45 pm in the JBHS gym. Tryouts: Thursday, March 9, 2023, starting @ 4:45 pm in the JBHS gym.
Squads announced: Friday, March 10, 2023, @ 5:00 pm in the team band app.
All athletes must provide a current HIGH SCHOOL physical on the first day of clinics. These are different than middle school forms. On the first day of clinics, all athletes must turn in the tryout packet, including contact information, teacher recommendations, and a copy of their report card.
All team members will receive and be required to turn in signed copies of the season handbook prior to the first practice.
