THE BEACH ANNOUNCEMENTS Wednesday, August 10, 2022 Happy first day of school! Please read below for our daily announcements. Anyone interested in joining Cross Country can come out to practice M, W, F 3:30 PM or T, Th 6:00 AM at the football stadium to join. You can also stop by to see Coach Colbert in Room 4-147 for more information. You need a current physical before practicing. ASLHS will have a meeting tomorrow at 7:45 and 3:05 – students need only attend once. It will be in Mrs. Pigott’s classroom 4-152. Freshman, please sign up for your Class of 2026 Google Classroom page. This is so important. It is where you will receive important information regarding your class activities. Please ask your teachers for the code to join. Any freshman interested in running for class officer, please complete the intent to run form by Monday, August 15th. The google form is located in your Class of 2026 Google Classroom page. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Lavelle in room 221. There is a mandatory Boys’ Soccer meeting on Thursday, August 18th in the gym after school to discuss all information regarding tryouts for this upcoming season. Anyone interested in trying out for the Varsity Bowling team, please see Ms. Schroeder in the Athletic Office (located in the gym) or Coach Gilly in room 119 for information on conditioning and tryouts. 🍎FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL READY🍎 It's the first day back to school for many students, teachers and staff, and it's also a brand new start for more than 100 Martin County School District employees! It's the first day . We will be serving breakfast in the courtyard at 8:00. Please remind your student to bring their ID and lanyard to school . Students should check focus for their first period class. All students will get paper copy of their schedule in period one tomorrow. We will open at 7:45 for students who still need IDs and lanyards . Have a wonderful evening .

Good Evening Falcon Family, This is Lori Vogel, Principal at Jensen Beach High School. Thank you for all your patience last week with Schedules, and Students ID’s. We are very excited to welcome back all our Falcon Students on Wednesday morning. We have been working all summer planning for Opening Day. All student schedules are live in focus. Please have your student review or print their schedule and report to their period One class on Tuesday Morning. Once they arrive in class they will be given a copy of their schedule. Please remind your student that they will need their ID’s on Wednesday. If your student has not had the opportunity to get a new ID we will be open at 7:45am for students to take ID pictures on Wednesday Morning. We will also make arrangements for students to get ID’s during lunch and after school until 3:30pm. School begins at promptly at 8:20 and will be over at 3:05. Breakfast will be available in our courtyard beginning at 8:00am. Please check our school website to review our dress code and school policy regarding cell phones usage on campus. Good Morning Falcon Parents This is Lori Vogel, Principal at Jensen Beach High School. I am excited to share with you that we are ready to distribute laptops to all students who do not already have school district issued devise. We have forms available at school for all parents to complete prior to students receiving a laptop. Student will have the opportunity to pick forms on all week. Thank you for your help with this important project we look forward to seeing all of students having laptops this year. Have a great evening.

Good Evening Falcon Parents, This message is specifically for students in 10th, 11th or 12th grade new to our school. Tuesday, August 9th we will host an orientation session for students only. It will take place from 1:30-2:30. Students will report to our Auditorium for a Falcon Presentation followed by a campus tour. If your student has an ID they should be wearing it when they arrive at school. Orientation will be over at 2:30 and student will have the opportunity to get their ID if they have not already this year. Have a wonderful evening and we look forward to seeing our New Falcon Students Tuesday Afternoon.

Good Evening Falcon Parents, This message for Freshman Students and their parents. Tuesday, August 9th is our Falcon Freshman orientation for students only. It will take place from 8:15-11:45. The Martin County School district buses will be running their normal routes and will pick up bus students at their assigned stops. Please check the MartinSchools. Org website for bus route information. Students will report to our Auditorium for a Falcon Presentation. Each student will have an opportunity to follow their schedule and meet their teachers. Please help your student look up their period one classroom and teacher this evening in the FOCUS Parent Portal. Student will get a copy of their school schedule in their period one class. If your student has an ID they should be wearing it when they arrive at school. Orientation will be over at 11: 45 and our buses will load and be ready to leave by noon. If your student is a car rider please be prepared to drop them off between 8:00 and 8:10 and pick them up no later than 11:45. Our Dean’s office will be open before and after orientation for students to get their ID’s. Have a wonderful evening

Good Afternoon Falcon Families Tomorrow we will be taking ID photos,issuing ID & lanyards to any student who could not come last week. All students are required to have their new ID for school each day . The office will be open to issue IDs 9-3.#ItsGreat2BaFalcon

📚 #BACKTOSCHOOL COUNTDOWN📚 Due to the expiration of a federal waiver, the District will no longer be able to offer free meals to all students this school year. Families are encouraged to apply for free and reduced-price meal benefits on our website or via a paper form available from their child's school. Students attending the following schools will continue to receive free breakfasts and lunches with no income restrictions: J. D. Parker School Of Technology, The Pinewood Elementary, Port Salerno Elementary School, Warfield Elementary School, Indiantown Middle School, Willoughby Learning Center and Spectrum Academy. For the schools not listed above, MCSD will cover the costs of meals for all students for the first three days of school (August 10-12). After August 12, the regular price for breakfast for K-5 and 6-12 students is $1.50. Lunch for K-5 is $1.85, and 6-12 is $2.10. The District will cover the cost of meals for students who apply and qualify for reduced-price meals.
