Students in Mrs. Kalwa's AP Art History class took a hands-on approach to exploring one of the world's most famous prehistoric monuments, Stonehenge! Using LEGO bricks, students worked collaboratively to recreate the iconic megalithic structure while learning about the engineering, purpose, and cultural significance of this ancient architectural wonder.
By transforming history into a creative building challenge, students gained a deeper understanding of how prehistoric societies designed and constructed monumental spaces long before modern technology. Learning came to life as they connected art, architecture, history, and teamwork through every brick they placed!

Martin County High School will administer the PSAT on Wednesday, October 21, 2026. Please note that no make-up date is available.
🔹 10th Grade: All students are automatically registered. No form or payment is required. The cost is covered by the State of Florida.
🔹 9th Grade: Registration is required. The cost is $18, payable by cash or check made out to MCHS. Students are not registered until payment is received.
🔹 11th Grade: Registration is required, but there is no cost. The fee is covered by Martin County School District (MCSD).
🔹 12th Grade: College Board does not permit seniors to take the PSAT.

Students in Mrs. Kalwa's AP Art History class kicked off the year by exploring some of the incredible works of art they will study throughout the course. From ancient masterpieces to iconic works that have shaped cultures around the world, students got a preview of the artistic journey ahead.
But the learning didn't stop there! Through thoughtful discussions and collaboration with their peers, students challenged themselves to answer a big question: "What is art?" Together, they developed their own definitions, sharing unique perspectives and discovering that art can inspire, communicate, preserve history, and spark emotion.
