🚨LAW ENFORCEMENT ALERT FOR FAMILIES🚨
The Martin County Sheriff's Office is actively enforcing laws about the operation of unregistered golf carts in our community, particularly near school campuses. Golf carts are only permitted on roads with a maximum 35 mph speed limit, and that’s only if they are titled, registered, insured and have all the appropriate safety measures to make them street legal. Please be mindful of these regulations, as deputies will issue citations for violations.

🚦RE-ENGINEERING ALGEBRA🚦
Do you ever hear the questions, "why do I need to learn algebra?" or "how will algebra help me in the future?"
Mr. Love answers those questions during his amazing math session, and the students are thoroughly interested in what he has to teach!
Thank you, Education Foundation of Martin County and Mr. Love, for bringing this amazing educational opportunity to Martin County School District middle schools.
Mr. Love has been to Murray Middle School, Indiantown Middle School and Hidden Oaks Middle School so far this week. He will head to Stuart Middle School tomorrow and Dr. David L. Anderson Middle on Friday.

We had an exciting presentation yesterday at The Murray Middle School for our Algebra and Geometry students! Mr. Mark Love - a traffic engineer - came to our campus and delivered an amazing presentation, "Engineers Teaching Algebra." Students were able to see and experience "real world" Algebra applied to the field of Engineering.
We want to thank Ms. Lisa Rhodes and the Education Foundation for providing this opportunity to our students!

Congratulations to Julissa (Julie) Alvarez-Lopez for being selected as Martin County's representative in the 2022-23 "Art in The Capitol" contest.
This statewide visual arts competition is held annually for all 6th-8th grade Florida students, and only one winner is chosen from each of Florida's 67 school districts.
Julie's artwork will be given to Representative John Snyder to be displayed during the 2023 legislative session. Afterwards, the artwork will be on display at The Martin County School Board District Meeting Room.
Pictured with Julie are her proud principal Mr. Umbaugh, and proud Art teacher Ms. Moreno.
