We are incredibly proud to give a huge shout‑out to Alana Taylor, who earned 1st Place in the Middle School Category at the annual Stars Over Stuart Teen Talent Show held at the Barn Theatre! 🌟🎭
This exciting community event brings together talented middle and high school students from across the Martin County School District—and this marks the second year in a row that a Murray Middle School student has brought home the top middle school honor! 🏆👏
In addition to placing first, Alana also won the coveted People’s Choice Award, making it an even more memorable night. She proudly represented Murray Middle School, and we are thrilled to soon display the traveling trophy on campus once it is delivered to our front office.

Our 8th grade Murray Middle School students had an unforgettable field trip today to the Kennedy Space Center! From exploring iconic space artifacts to learning about astronauts, rockets, and the future of space exploration, it was an exciting day packed with hands‑on learning and inspiration beyond the classroom. 🌍✨
This incredible experience brought science and history to life and gave our students a chance to see firsthand how curiosity, innovation, and perseverance can truly take you to new heights.

⚽️🦁 DISTRICT SOCCER CHAMPIONS 🦁⚽️ The Murray Lions defeated the TCCA Titans this afternoon in a 2-0 game and take home the 2026 Middle School Soccer Championship! Congratulations to Coach McChrystal and our whole team for a fantastic season and a phenomenal performance in the championship match. 🦁💙

⛵️CARDBOARD BOAT RACES⛵️ The 8th Annual Cardboard Boat Races took over the Martin County High School pool today—and yes, there were boats that floated… and boats that absolutely did not. 😂🌊 This year was extra fun with middle school joining for the first time! 🏆 Dr. David L. Anderson Middle School swept the speed awards in middle school and also took home Most Spirited Team! 🏆 Crystal Lake Elementary School dominated the elementary speed awards, while Bessey Creek Elementary School brought the spirit and earned Most Spirited Team! 🌊🦁 NJHS Beach Clean Up Day – Let’s Make a Difference! 🦁🌊
The Murray Middle School National Junior Honor Society is hosting a Beach Clean Up Service Project on Saturday, May 2, 2026, and we’re looking forward to a great morning of service and community impact! 🌎💙
✅ This is a required service activity for NJHS members
✅ Students will earn 2 volunteer service hours
The cleanup will take place from 8:00–10:30 AM at Hobe Sound Beach (off Bridge Road). We are excited to work together to help keep our beaches clean and show Murray Lion pride through service.
📣 More details will be shared at our NJHS monthly meeting on April 27th after school.

🎨🦁 Murray Middle School Art Club on the Move! 🦁🎨
Our Murray Middle School Art Club had an amazing, art‑filled day on Friday, April 24th, visiting the Norton Art Museum alongside the Port Salerno Elementary School Art Club! 🎉🖼️
Students had the opportunity to explore inspiring works of art, learn about different styles and artists, and then put that inspiration into action by creating their own artwork. It was a day full of creativity, collaboration, and hands‑on learning beyond the classroom.
We love seeing our Murray Lions connect with art in new ways and share experiences with younger artists from our community. Thank you to our teachers and chaperones for making this memorable field trip possible!

In February, the FFA Meat Evaluation Team placed 9th out of 28 teams in the preliminary contest, earning a spot in the top 10 and advancing to the state competition, where only the top 10 teams qualify. This past weekend, they traveled to Gainesville to compete at the University of Florida and finished 6th overall in the state. Congratulations, Lions! We are so proud of you! 🦁💙

Our 6th grade Murray Lions had an amazing day exploring Zoo Miami today! From learning about animals and habitats to sharing laughs with friends, it was a day full of discovery, curiosity, and fun.
