Thank you to all the families who joined us for Open House last night as we welcomed our incoming 6th graders to the Murray Middle School community! It was wonderful to see so many smiles as families toured the campus, met staff, and learned all about the amazing opportunities Murray Middle has to offer.
A special thank you to our National Junior Honor Society members, who did an outstanding job serving as tour guides. Their leadership, kindness, and school pride truly shined as they helped families feel welcome and informed.
From classroom visits to conversations about academics, activities, and student life, a great time was had by all—and we loved sharing what makes Murray such a special place. 📚✨

Murray Middle School is excited to partner with The Pink Lions for a Purse Drive that helps support local women in need.
Students and families are invited to donate new or like‑new purses and everyday essentials to help create meaningful donations for local women’s shelters.
👜 Requested Donation Items Include:
• New or like‑new purses
• Mugs & water bottles
• Umbrellas
• Sunscreen
• Card games
• Planners & journals
• Slippers & socks
• Toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, razors, toothpaste, etc.)
• Hair brushes & scrunchies
• New or like‑new jewelry
• Nail files & nail polish
⭐ House Point Incentives:
• Each donated item = 1 point
• Each new or like‑new purse = 5 points
📌 Important Reminder for Students:
Please label all donations with student name and house.
Donations should be dropped off in the cafeteria house boxes.

This week, we’re excited to spotlight Mrs. Brittany Beans! Now in her third year at Murray Middle School, Mrs. Beans brings energy, creativity, and dedication to everything she does. She teaches AVID and Marketing, working with students across all three grade levels to build strong academic skills, leadership habits, and real‑world readiness.
In addition to teaching, Mrs. Beans serves as our AVID Coordinator, supporting college‑ and career‑readiness initiatives schoolwide. She also leads as our Cheer Coach, helping students build confidence, teamwork, and school spirit both on and off campus.
Mrs. Beans is passionate about motivating students to reach their full potential while fostering pride and a strong sense of community at Murray Middle School.
