The Martin County School District held its oath of office ceremony for Superintendent Michael Maine this afternoon. Superintendent Maine’s family joined school district staff for the occasion, allowing many of the employees in attendance the opportunity to meet and greet while enjoying delicious refreshments provided by our Food & Nutrition Services team. The Martin County School Board named Mr. Maine the Martin County School District’s Superintendent of Schools in April 2023, approving a four-year initial employment contract as part of the measure. #ALLINMartin👊

🍎SHOWING APPRECIATION🍎 This morning, we are showing appreciation for Ms. Lisa Carbaugh at Palm City Elementary School! "Shout out to Mrs. Carbaugh for being the best kindergarten teacher in the universe," grateful parent Loren Esposito shared. "Her students learn new things every day and are excited to go home and share what they learned with their parents. My son absolutely loves going to school because Mrs. Carbaugh makes learning so much fun. She connects with her students on their level and treats them all like they are her own kids. The love she has for teaching is remarkable and I feel so blessed to have my son in her class. She represents the perfect kindergarten teacher by being supportive, compassionate, and very patient. 🍽NOURISHING ALL STUDENTS FOR SUCCESS🍽 Can you believe summer is just around the corner?! During the Summer Break, the Martin County School District will continue to nourish all students for success! Our Food & Nutrition Services Department will continue to offer free meals to children aged 18 and under during the summer months with no income restrictions. 🍎LEAVING A LEGACY🍎 On Tuesday evening, Superintendent Michael Maine and the Martin County School Board celebrated the career of Stuart Middle School's Ms. Mary Noorian. Ms. Noorian has been a Martin County School District educator for 31 years, focusing on computer-related education for most of her career. She started at Warfield Elementary School teaching Computer Lab and transferred to Palm City Elementary School to teach those kiddos how to use the computer. At one point, she helped teachers across the District how to set up and use the Microsoft Office Suite--when email was first introduced! She later worked at Port Salerno Elementary School as a Media Specialist for 14 years, then at Stuart Middle School as a media specialist for the last six years. You name the job or club sponsor; Ms. Noorian has done it! She always went the extra mile to support students, colleagues and parents. Ms. Noorian, we wish you the best in retirement spending time with your grandbabies and puppy. You will be missed! #ALLINMartin👊

The Martin County School District is proud to celebrate Mental Health Awareness Month and contribute to the efforts that fight stigma, provide support, and enhance our knowledge about mental illness. 🎉CELEBRATING MATH CHAMPIONS🎉 This past weekend, the Martin County School District Math Team proudly hosted the inaugural Fifth Grade Math Olympics at Dr. David L. Anderson Middle School. Twelve teams of students from across the district went head-to-head, battling for the title of District Champion. Students competed in various rounds involving problem-solving, critical thinking, and speed math. In the end, Palm City Elementary School's team was victorious! Citrus Grove Elementary School's team took home second-place honors and Jensen Beach Elementary School's team placed third. Way to go, MCSD Mathletes! #ALLINMartin👊
