Project/Problem Based Learning is happening in 3rd grade at PCE!! Students had a blast designing towns out of quadrilateral figures and determining the area and perimeter of each building's shape! This PBL helped to culminate the Benchmark Government Unit 3 and Topic 5 math standards! 🤩

💨 Our students are embracing Project-Based Learning by designing their own wind turbine blades! They’ve analyzed data, worked within budgets, and created designs that generate 30 kWh of energy. These future innovators are mastering wind power and building skills in teamwork, problem-solving, and engineering!

It's National School Lunch Week! Did you know that the National School Lunch Program serves nearly 30 million children every school day? President John F. Kennedy created National School Lunch Week (NSLW) in 1962 to promote the importance of a healthy school lunch in a child’s life and its impact inside and outside of the classroom. This year's theme is “School Lunch Pirates Find Your Treasure!” Enjoy mateys!

📆MAKEUP DAY INFORMATION📆
Martin County School District students will NOT be required to make up the days missed due to the recent hurricanes.
Fortunately, after a thorough review of the District’s instructional calendar, students will still meet state requirements and complete the academic year without the need to use make-up days at this time.
We are committed to supporting the community with ongoing recovery efforts, including through the Education Foundation of Martin County’s relief fund for employees and families, providing free meals for students, and offering credit for last week’s Extended Day services. Link to relief fund: https://bit.ly/3BIZm5K
We are humbled by the resilience and cooperation of our incredible community. Thank you for partnering with us in your child's education. We are #MCSDBetterTogether and #MartinStrong! 💙
