Estamos muy emocionados de dar la bienvenida a nuestros estudiantes y comenzar un nuevo año lleno de aprendizaje. Nuestro equipo está comprometido a trabajar junto a ustedes—nuestras familias—para asegurarnos de que cada niño crezca académica, social y emocionalmente este año escolar. Ese es nuestro compromiso, y sabemos que esto requiere que todos trabajemos juntos.

We hope you enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving week with family and friends. As we return, we are jumping into a very important part of the quarter—Progress Monitoring 2 (PM2). Testing begins this Tuesday and continues over the next couple of weeks. Please review the attached calendar for your child’s specific PM2 dates.
Our students are still actively learning the standards, but we look forward to seeing growth from PM1 to PM2 in their scale scores. Please encourage your child to do their very best, apply the strategies they’ve learned, and stay positive throughout the process.
We are excited to welcome our Panthers back on campus and look forward to seeing their smiles and receiving some much-needed hugs.
Here is what’s happening this week:
• 12/2: PM2 ELA (Grades 3–5), Cub Scouts at 6pm
• 12/3: Girl Scouts at 5pm
• 12/4: PM2 Math (Grades 3–5)
• 12/5: PM2 ELA (Grade 1)
Tutoring will resume on Wednesday and Thursday from 2:10–3:10 pm, and all other after-school programs will also run as scheduled.

Esperamos que hayan disfrutado de una maravillosa semana de Acción de Gracias junto a sus familiares y amigos. Al regresar, comenzamos una parte muy importante del trimestre: el Monitoreo del Progreso 2 (PM2). Las evaluaciones comienzan este martes y continuarán durante las próximas semanas. Por favor, revisen el calendario adjunto para ver las fechas específicas de PM2 de su hijo(a).
Nuestros estudiantes aún están aprendiendo los estándares, pero esperamos ver crecimiento de PM1 a PM2 en sus puntajes. Les pedimos que animen a su hijo(a) a hacer su mejor esfuerzo, aplicar las estrategias que han aprendido y mantenerse positivos durante el proceso.

It’s time to read toward a tasty prize—pie! 😋🥧
Our school is joining five others across the Martin County School District for the Turkey Trot Reading Race, a fun Thanksgiving break challenge designed to keep our readers engaged all week long.
From Saturday, November 22, through Sunday, November 30, students can earn Accelerated Reader (AR) points by reading at home and completing AR quizzes. At the end of the challenge, one class per grade level (K–5) across the six schools will be crowned the winner.
Winning classes will celebrate with a pie party and enjoy some serious bragging rights. 🏆🤩💪
Have your student stop by the media center and stock up on good reads for break. Let's read, race, and trot to the top! 📖🥧
