Hello Pinewood Family,
We hope you enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving week with family and friends. As we return, we are jumping into a very important part of the quarter—Progress Monitoring 2 (PM2). Testing begins this Tuesday and continues over the next couple of weeks. Please review the attached calendar for your child’s specific PM2 dates.
Our students are still actively learning the standards, but we look forward to seeing growth from PM1 to PM2 in their scale scores. Please encourage your child to do their very best, apply the strategies they’ve learned, and stay positive throughout the process.
We are excited to welcome our Panthers back on campus and look forward to seeing their smiles and receiving some much-needed hugs.
Here is what’s happening this week:
• 12/2: PM2 ELA (Grades 3–5), Cub Scouts at 6pm
• 12/3: Girl Scouts at 5pm
• 12/4: PM2 Math (Grades 3–5)
• 12/5: PM2 ELA (Grade 1)
Tutoring will resume on Wednesday and Thursday from 2:10–3:10 pm, and all other after-school programs will also run as scheduled.
Thank you for your continued partnership and support. Together, we help our Panthers grow!
¡Juntos ayudamos a crecer a nuestros Panthers!

🍁THANKSGIVING BREAK REMINDER🍁
Good news, Martin County families: Thanksgiving Break is almost here, and yes… students and teachers still have the entire week off (Nov. 24–28)! 🙌
Since we didn’t need to use any emergency makeup days this year, the full week remains wide open for rest, gratitude, and perhaps a piece of pie or two. 🥧🦃✨

Hello Pinewood Family,
Our campus was glowing with storybook magic this week! It was such a joy to see our VPK and Kindergarten students turn into their favorite book characters for Book-o-Ween. The Book Fairy was especially delighted to see so many little readers showing off their love for stories.
And the excitement continues. Our Book Fair will run from 11/3 to 11/7! Sharing books with children is one of the most powerful things we can do. Reading to them, reading with them, or even listening as they read builds vocabulary, fluency, comprehension, and opens the door to curious, thoughtful conversations. Books really are tiny ticket-stubs to big worlds.
Thank you to everyone supporting our Thanksgiving Food Drive. Our AVID Ambassadors are working hard to collect donations and prepare baskets for families in need. Every item and every act of kindness makes a difference.
Here’s what’s happening this week at Pinewood:
• 11/4: Cub Scouts at 6 pm
• 11/5: Parent Conference Night (by appointment) & Book Fair Family Night
• 11/6: Thank you to the Rotary Club for donating dictionaries to all of our third graders!
Coming soon:
• 11/11: No school / Veteran’s Day
Have a terrific week, Panthers! 🐾
Hola Familia Pinewood,

Hello Pinewood Family,
We had such a fantastic Heritage Night! I am so grateful to our amazing staff for helping students research and create their Continent and Country boards and for organizing the poetry readings. Hola Familia Pinewood,
