We’re proud to share that two projects connected to the Martin County School District were recognized through Impact100 Martin grants, helping expand real-world learning opportunities for students across our A-rated District! 👏
🐾 The Education Foundation of Martin County received a $36,000 grant to support South Fork High School's CTE Veterinary Technician program, helping enhance lab experiences and hands-on career training for students.
🚤 The Environmental Studies Council received a $100,000 grant for the Environmental Studies Center's River Scout II: A New Voyage project, supporting the purchase of a new boat and construction of an on-site dock for expanded outdoor learning opportunities.
These investments help students explore future careers, build skills, and learn beyond the classroom. Congratulations to everyone involved!

🪵✨ Students in Mr. Blount’s class got a hands-on woodworking experience with Mr. Geoff Otton from Otton Woodworking!
Students learned the art of woodturning by creating their own pepper grinders — taking their projects from raw materials to a finished, functional piece. 🔄🌳 Under expert guidance, they built skills, confidence, and experience on the lathe.
The excitement in the shop was clear as students collaborated, asked questions, and took pride in their work. 🤝🛠️
Most importantly, the experience was not only educational but fun — leaving students inspired and eager to continue exploring woodworking trades! 🎉🎓

This is a reminder that South Fork High School will follow a Testing Bell Schedule tomorrow, Tuesday, May 12, 2026, for the FAST ELA PM3 assessment for grades 9 and 10. 📝⏰
📚 Important Reminders:
✔️ Bring your fully charged, district-issued laptop.
✔️ All students must attend school on testing days.
✔️ Students who are not testing will report to their first-period classroom (or assigned location) during the morning testing block.
