School meal program changes - A federal program that has provided children with free meals throughout the pandemic has expired. As a result of this expiration, the Martin County School District will resume its pre-pandemic operations for school meals in August 2022: Breakfast and lunch will still be available to all students; however, they will no longer be free to all students. Parents/guardians will need to complete a Free and Reduced-Price Meal Application to qualify for free or reduced-price meals. Students who do not qualify for free or reduced-priced meals will pay for school meals according to the following schedule: Breakfast Lunch K-5 $ 1.50 $1.85 6-12 $ 1.50 $2.10 Reduced-price $0.30 $0.40 **BONUS** The Martin County School District will pay for all students to eat free the first 3 days of school (August 10-12). Please complete a free/reduced-price meal application for your family if you believe your child(ren) is/are eligible for free or reduced-price meals. The application will be available in mid-July.

He plans to attend the University of Florida where he'll major in biology and public health on a pre-med track.
