This evening, we are shining a spotlight on Martin County High School senior Julian Grieco!
"Once upon a time (not that long ago, because heโs still young and already doing everything), there lived a remarkable young man who somehow managed to fit about 40 hours of life into every 24-hour day," Julian's proud family shared. "Not because heโs superhuman, but because Godโs blessings have shaped his heart, his mind, and his spirit. This young man is known by many titles: Basketball player ๐, Future lawyer โ๏ธ, Coin collector ๐ช, Treasure hunter ๐งญ, Pickle eating contest enthusiast ๐ฅ, Professional good-mood distributor ๐, and full-time inspiration to everyone around him.
"From the outside, people see a hardworking, reliable, funny guy who always seems upbeat. But what they donโt always see is the engine inside himโa quiet determination to squeeze every drop out of the time heโs been given. Some kids collect baseball cards. He collects coinsโฆ and probably the occasional buried treasure. Some kids shoot hoops for fun. He plays basketball, proving that hard work, discipline, and a little bit of stubborn determination can take you far. And now, as graduation approaches, heโs preparing to step into the next chapter: .LAW, which honestly makes perfect sense. Because if anyone can argue a case, investigate a mystery, negotiate a deal, win a basketball game, find buried treasures, and still have time to eat picklesโฆitโs him!. But even more importantly, he does all of this with God at the center of his life. But the truth is, what makes him special isnโt just what he does. Itโs how he does it. He shows up. He works hard. He stays kind. He keeps laughing."

UPDATE 1:08 p.m. - All students are reporting to fifth period while law enforcement completes the next phase of its response.
This includes accounting for every student on campus and assisting any students who may have gone to nearby shopping centers during the initial law enforcement response with returning to campus. Once all students have been accounted for, instruction will resume and the lockout will be lifted, meaning normal access to and from campus will be restored. Parents who choose to pick up their student may do so once this process is complete; however, there is no requirement to do so, as instruction will continue as planned.
Parents, thank you for being attentive to these updates and for your continued partnership in safety. We are grateful to our students and staff for following our safety protocols as trained, and to our law enforcement partners for their swift, thorough, and protective response.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Martin County School District families,
We wanted to inform you that an anonymous tip was reported to the Stuart Police Department today regarding weapons on the Jensen Beach High School campus.
Law enforcement responded and immediately and thoroughly searched our campus. Based on that thorough investigation, the tip has been determined to be not credible. Please know that our students and staff remain safe. Law enforcement presence continues on campus- for that reason, no one is permitted to come onto or leave the JBHS property at this time.
We thank you for your concern and continued support of our District. We will share additional information as it becomes available.
