🛠BREAKING GROUND🛠 With excitement and enthusiasm, Superintendent John D. Millay and the Martin County School Board recently participated in groundbreaking ceremonies for the new Jensen Beach and Palm City elementary schools. The complete replacement of both aging schools is being funded by the half-cent sales tax referendum that was generously approved by Martin County voters in 2018. Construction began at both sites the last week of July and is scheduled to be completed in the summer of 2023. Students will continue safely attending school in their current buildings while the new facilities are constructed. #ALLINMartin👊

🍎PLANNING FOR HEALTH AND SUCCESS🍎 Last week, the Martin County School Board approved Superintendent John D. Millay's recommendation that the District hire one additional nurse and then contract for supplementary nursing services to assist with required contact tracing processes this school year. While the Florida Department of Health in Martin County (DOH Martin) has applied for a grant that would fund these positions if approved, Dr. Millay and the School Board believe it is important to begin the school year with these important health professionals in place and assisting our schools. Our contracted nurses began their training with the District this afternoon. We are grateful to have these healthcare heroes assisting our schools. #ALLINMartin👊
