Mr. Frank Krukauskas, who is a Board Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA) in our Exceptional Student Education (ESE) Department, joined several of his peers in authoring "Quick Responses for Reducing Misbehavior and Suspensions: A Behavioral Toolbox for Classroom & School Leaders." Having served more than 25 years in educational settings, Mr. Krukauskas continues to successfully deploy his knowledge of human behavior to support students, families, faculty, staff and clients. He is passionate about assisting students and families who are struggling with the most challenging of behavior concerns. He has presented on the subject at both state and national conferences. 🎨RECOGNIZING ARTISTIC EXCELLENCE🎨 Using the splendor of Hutchinson Island as his inspiration, Jensen Beach High School junior Nicholas Venezia beautifully designed the cover for the Martin County School District's 2021 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR). He was recognized for creating this outstanding design by Superintendent John D. Millay and the Martin County School Board on February 15, 2022. MCSD is committed to fiscal accountability and transparency. The District has earned the GFOA of the US & Canada's "Excellence in Financial Reporting" award for 14 consecutive years. ASBO International has recognized MCSD as a recipient of its "Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting" award for 13 consecutive years. 📚CELEBRATING OUR HISTORY📚 As our celebration of #BlackHistoryMonth continues, we spotlight two brothers who were educational pioneers in Martin County, Charles E. and Robert G. Murray. Charles Murray founded the Stuart Training School in 1926 - this was the first high school for Black students in the county. He remained principal until 1939 when his brother, Robert, took over. Stuart Training School eventually became Spectrum Academy and Murray Middle School was named for the brothers. #ALLINMartin 👊

Students and staff created hats to commemorate influential figures in Black history while also dressing like favorite role models. She was an educator, philanthropist and humanitarian who started a private school for Black students in Daytona Beach.
