Art students from Martin County High School and Jensen Beach High School in collaboration with Palm City Chamber of Commerce, Commissioner Ed Ciampi and the Palm City Post Office will commence the painting of a mural of the east wall of the post office. The mural called "Salute to Service" is celebrating service workers throughout the county. #ALLINMartin👊

🍎HEAD START & VPK OPEN ENROLLMENT TO BEGIN ON MONDAY🍎
Just a reminder, families - we will begin accepting Head Start and Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK) applications for next school year (2022-2023) on Monday, February 7.
Students must be three (3) years of age on or before September 1, 2022, to register for Head Start. Students must be four (4) years of age on or before September 1, 2022, to register for VPK.

We're proud to recognize Ms. Gertrude Pettway in honor of #BlackHistoryMonth. Ms. Pettway was an educational leader in Hobe Sound beginning in the 1960s. In 1985, she was named the first black South Regional Teacher of the Year.

📚CELEBRATING LEADERS AND TRAILBLAZERS📚
Today, we celebrate our first of many local leaders in honor of #BlackHistoryMonth. Dr. David L. Anderson was an educational pioneer in Martin County, having served as a School Board Member and also in various leadership roles at Indian River State College for more than 30 years. In 2006, he was honored as the namesake of Martin County's newest middle school - Dr. David L. Anderson Middle School. Dr. Anderson passed away on December 23, 2021, at the age of 80.
