"She represented her county as Miss Martin County 2022 and is passionate about giving back to her community. "Throughout her four years at South Fork, Alli has continued to challenge herself both academically and athletically," proud mom Nicole shared. "Alli is an honor student with a 4.0 GPA. She is enrolled in the Medical Science CTE Program and dual-enrolled at IRSC - Indian River State College. Alli is also a member of the National Honor Society and the Student-Athlete Leadership Team. Alli has been a member of the South Fork Varsity Volleyball team since her freshman year. She has also played eight seasons of club volleyball, which allowed her to play competitively at the local, regional, and national levels." 🤖CELEBRATING STEM CHAMPIONS🤖 The FRC 180 team keeps on winning! This past weekend, the FRC 180 S.P.A.M. team was on the winning alliance at the FIRST Robotics Competition Tallahassee Regional! Before that, they were winners at the FIRST Robotics Competition Orlando Regional, which qualified them for the 2023 FIRST® Championship in Houston! In addition to qualifying for Houston, they took home the Innovation Award at the Orlando Regional! We are so proud of the FRC 180 S.P.A.M. 🚗ENJOYING THE RIDE🚗 South Fork High School's Automotive Technology Program hosted its first-ever Car Show this weekend. The event was managed all by students, and it was a huge success! South Fork High School collaborated with Project LIFT and Martin County High School's Automotive Technology Program for the trophies. They were welded by hand and painted a different color for each award category. Students selected winners based on what they've learned so far in class this year. "It was incredible to see students from both MCHS and SFHS bond over a common passion, learning from community members who are experts in the auto industry! True learning and collaboration happened, and we are beyond proud of our students," SFHS Assistant Principal Jackie Scott said. "Gia was very active in school activities during her years at MCHS and has thoroughly enjoyed being a Tiger," proud mom Heather shared. "She is Senior Class President and heavily involved in SGA and Leadership. One of her favorite Leadership positions is being the head of the Spirit Committee, where she devised and orchestrated this year’s pep rallies. She belongs to National Honor Society and Spanish National Honor Society, as well as being a football and basketball cheerleader. Gia has been most inspired by Mrs. Herd and Mrs. Bros and is thankful for the opportunity to learn through them. We are so proud of Gia’s personal strengths and accomplishments and can’t wait to see what her future brings!"
