Port Salerno Elementary School is set to become Martin County School District's first AVID Showcase School! After a recent visit from the AVID program's regional leadership, who noted the dedication and resources in place, PSE is now officially in the process of earning this prestigious recognition.
Once approved, AVID schools across the region will visit PSE to see their classrooms in action, experiencing firsthand the inspiring work of both students and staff.

The District continues to provide FREE breakfast and lunch this week (through today, Oct. 18) to further support our communities impacted by Hurricane Milton. Due to the storm, some schools are celebrating National School Lunch Week next week.

Martin County School District students will NOT be required to make up the days missed due to the recent hurricanes.
Fortunately, after a thorough review of the District’s instructional calendar, students will still meet state requirements and complete the academic year without the need to use make-up days at this time.
We are committed to supporting the community with ongoing recovery efforts, including through the Education Foundation of Martin County’s relief fund for employees and families, providing free meals for students, and offering credit for last week’s Extended Day services. Did you know--the Stuart Martin Chamber of Commerce is one of the most recent organizations to endorse the the renewal of the existing millage referendum?
Since 2018, funding from the existing millage referendum has helped provide critical resources for our schools, such as additional school resource officers, mental health programs, and funding to recruit, retain, and train top teachers and staff to provide quality education.
When Martin County voters head to the polls on November 5, they will see a request to renew the existing millage referendum. A renewal of the millage will allow the district to continue funding these essential services that directly support students and the community.
