🐾HELPING FURRY FRIENDS🐾
Student council members at Felix A. Williams Elementary recently completed their Spring service project in which they chose to support the Humane Society of the Treasure Coast. They organized a school-wide donation drive collecting items like pet food, treats, beds, collars, crates, and more from their #FAWEFamily.
Last weekend, they delivered donations and then spent two and a half hours doing service learning. Students toured the shelter, learned about the Humane Society's Mission, and even assisted in some light cleaning. They also made enrichment treats for shelter dogs, cats, and critters.
The Humane Society staff even named two kittens after student council members Liam and Allan! Students learned you're never too young to make a difference and support the causes close to your heart ❤️

🍎LEAVING A LEGACY🍎
On Tuesday evening, Superintendent Michael Maine and the Martin County School Board celebrated the career of Stuart Middle School's Ms. Mary Noorian.
Ms. Noorian has been a Martin County School District educator for 31 years, focusing on computer-related education for most of her career. She started at Warfield Elementary School teaching Computer Lab and transferred to Palm City Elementary School to teach those kiddos how to use the computer.
At one point, she helped teachers across the District how to set up and use the Microsoft Office Suite--when email was first introduced! She later worked at Port Salerno Elementary School as a Media Specialist for 14 years, then at Stuart Middle School as a media specialist for the last six years.
You name the job or club sponsor; Ms. Noorian has done it! She always went the extra mile to support students, colleagues and parents.
Ms. Noorian, we wish you the best in retirement spending time with your grandbabies and puppy. You will be missed!

🎓TIMELESS TRADITION: EAGLE EDITION🎓
Hobe Sound Elementary School students lined their hallways as the South Fork High School seniors who came before them walked through, dressed in their graduation attire.
It's a special tradition that seniors, elementary students and teachers look forward to. The seniors see how far they've come. The teachers see their former students all grown up and ready to take on the world as adults. The younger students see their future.
Such special memories are created here in the Martin County School District!
