We hope everyone enjoys a relaxing, fun-filled Spring Break—whether you're staying close to home or heading out for adventure!
Even with downtime, a little academic play can keep skills sharp and fun. That's why MCSD has **TWO** exciting competitions running right now, and our Diamondbacks are already making waves!

**IXL March Madness Challenge – We're in the Elite 8!
Our school has earned a spot in the Elite 8 of the district-wide bracket-style tournament. We have until March 20 to push into the Final Four! How families can help right now:
Log into IXL and practice grade-level Math or ELA skills (or one grade above/below).
Aim for a SmartScore of 80%+ on each skill – every mastered skill earns points for CGE!

The more we do together, the closer we get to the championship rounds. Great job so far, Diamondbacks!

**March MCSDReads Competition – Powered by the Education Foundation of Martin County
All reading points earned in March count toward our school's totals! The top class per grade level with the most points this month wins a special CGE certificate and advances to compete for an EFMC prize.
We'll also celebrate our top individual point earners at CGE.

Grab a book, log those AR points (or equivalent reading), and help your class climb the leaderboard!
Rest, recharge, soak up some sun (or snow!), and squeeze in a bit of competitive learning whenever it fits your schedule. Every minute helps our school shine.
Go Diamondbacks! 💙

The CGE garden is flourishing! Our produce is plentiful, delicious, and nutritious- no wonder our Diamondbacks are quick to choose these items in our cafe lunch line! Kudos to our cafeteria manager, Christy Cole, and garden overseers, Ivette Combass and Alexis Gibson, who make sure our students appreciate the effort and taste of freshly grown food.
