
Grade 1️⃣ Math is focusing on recognizing patterns with skip counting this week. Small group work and anchor charts were happening today in class. If you have a first grader at home, practicing these skills in the car or on walks can be fun.

🎨🖌️ Grade 2️⃣ artists studied Paul Cezanne's still life body of work. They completed their own observational art recently and it is displayed in our hallways. Hobe Sound Elemenatry is a school of the arts 🎭 as well as a school committed to rigorous academics for all.

HSE had 4 teachers in attendance working hard to bring back engaging structures for their students and their math classrooms. Our Eagles had a blast celebrating Mrs. Stuart, HSE Teacher of the Year, Mrs. Waterman, HSE Employee of the Year, and 10 HSE Eagles from grades K-5 who earned spots on the float by using their Eagle bucks earned through meeting our N.E.S.T. expectations. HSE 💙s our community.

🧐 This week, Grade 4️⃣ students at HSE have been engaged in Active Listening techniques, accountable talk, and collaborative work structures to deepen their understanding in ELA. The Hobe Sound Eagles celebrated peace, kindness, and thankfulness in style, donning their best hippie-inspired outfits! 🌸✌️🕊️










HSE Kindergarten classes discovered what a Solid 🧱, Liquid 💦and Gas 💨 are. They were able to make Oobleck (A non-Newtonian fluid) to observe how it transitions from a solid when squeezed to a liquid when it is sitting in your hand. SCIENCE LAB DAYS ARE THE BEST!
