October is recognized by the Children’s Book Council as Comic Book and Graphic Novel Month—a time to celebrate this exciting and creative medium! 🎨🦸♂️🦸♀️
Our students learned all about onomatopoeias—the fun sound words that bring comic books to life (think BAM!, CRASH!, POW!). Then, they had a blast creating their own! 💥💬
We love seeing our Vikings bring reading, writing, and art together in such a fun and imaginative way. ❤️📖
Mrs. Clark’s 2nd graders have been hard at work with UFLI phonics! 🧲✍️ We’ve been building words with magnets and practicing our best spelling through writing. These readers are growing stronger every day and having fun while they do it! 💙📚✨

ℹ️ During school hours, cell phones, smartwatches, earbuds, and other wireless tech must be off and out of sight.
Here’s what families should know:
📲 Devices that are seen or used during the day will be confiscated.
📲 Only a parent or guardian can pick them up, and only at a time set by school staff.
📲 Repeated offenses constitute insubordination and may result in suspension.
Need to contact your child? Call the school office—we’ll make sure they get the message promptly.
