Always a great day to be a Falcon🩵🖤 Our Cross Country programs competed at the 3A Region 4 Championship today! Both teams were vying for a top 8 spot to advance to the FHSAA State Championship. Our girls went for it and did not disappoint! Annabel DeTure finished in 11th with a new personal best of 20:01! Charley Fischer finished 18th with a new personal best and CRUSHING the Freshman School record in 20:42.62!!!!! Ava Vancour, Genevieve Schmidt, and Bella Tuthill rounded out the solid effort! Ranked 7th, girls finished 5th!💪🏻 The boys were ranked 12th, but did not go down without a fight! J’Hani Styles ran a new personal best of 16:45, to advance to the State Championship!! Personal bests were also ran by Jean Paul Acosta and Noah Vancour. In the end, our boys finished only 9 points out qualifying, with a solid 9th place!😎 J’Hani and the girls will be ready for the State Championship next Saturday in Tallahassee!

J’Hani Styles, and Annabel DeTure who ran personal bests and placed! Earning season-best times and helping the team advance were: Jean Paul Acosta, Emerson Megibow, Ava Vancour, and Bella Tuthill. The Regional Championship will be held at SFHS Saturday, Nov. 9th at 8:00 AM Congratulations to our Lady Falcon Bowling Team who made school history again finishing #4 IN THE STATE. Seniors Hannah Whetzel and Grace Pettit along with juniors Lizzie Fitzwater, Dani Bell, Chris Bell, and Vicky Williams, and freshman Sophie Saunders put together an undefeated season and made it all the way to the state tournament quarterfinals, before suffering their second loss of the tournament and the season. Adding to the excitement of the week, Hannah qualified 14th overall for girls and moved on to the second round, eventually finishing 10th out of 226 bowlers. We so are proud of how she dealt with setbacks and unforeseen obstacles during the tournament. She will be a wonderful addition to the Belmont Abbey bowling team next year. A special congratulations to Aiden Wintercorn on making it to the state level as an individual, finishing 97th out 199 bowlers. You are an amazing you man and incredible bowler. Next year will be even more successful. Congratulations to our swimmers and divers who qualified for states: Maddie Newman, Colin Stumbo, and Boone Stoneburg. And to the relay teams: Justin, Ethen, Jaxon, Boone, Parker, Natalie, Abby, Jordan, and Izzy!
