📢JBHS PTSA is hosting an SAT Practice Test fundraiser in partnership with Class 101 on Saturday, February 22nd, at 8:30 am at JBHS. Students will take a proctored digital SAT practice test in person at JBHS, which will help them prepare for the actual SAT. Students and parents will get a baseline score and have an opportunity to review their results during a free consultation with Class 101. 💡This is a great way for students get a feel for the SAT and start to prepare to meet Bright Futures scholarship requirements! 🪸Last week, Ms. Robertson's Marine Science students dove into the world of jellyfish—researching their diets, predators, and habitats. To bring their learning to life, students covered the courtyard in colorful chalk drawings of their chosen species of jellyfish. The activity coincides with a class novel in which jellyfish overpopulate when fish disappear—like something straight out of a sci-fi movie! Without realizing it, they’ve already set the stage for this week’s creative writing assignment, where their jellyfish will take over the ocean. Sports News Congratulations to the JBHS girls’ basketball team on their huge victory over MacArthur in the first round of regional play, defeating them 60-38! The leading scorers were Lizzie Fitzwater with 19 pts and 3 assists, Dani Bell with 10 pts, Natalie Tobiasz with 9 pts and 3 rebounds, Jayla Brinkley with 7 pts and 3 rebounds, and Leona Denaud with 8 pts. They move on to play Blanche Ely in Fort Lauderdale on Tuesday at 7 PM. Way to go, ladies, and good luck on Tuesday! Also, congratulations to the men’s and women’s tennis teams for their victories over the Pine School. Their next tennis match is Tuesday at home against Jupiter High School.
