JBHS Sports News: Our tennis teams will play their next match against Masters Academy at 3:30 today at home. Come on out to cheer them on! We also have many Falcon teams traveling for games and matches today. The flag football team will head to LPA for their games at 4:00 and 5:00; the girls’ lacrosse team will head to Oxbridge; the JV baseball team will play MCHS at 6:00 and the boys’ lacrosse team will play at Cocoa Beach at 6:00. Good luck to all our Falcon Athletes! Congratulations to the following boys’ soccer players for being named first-team all-area: Gavin Harte, Jack James, Ian Tovar, and Robbie Johnston! Additionally, congratulations to Ryan Leach, Michael Hinson, and Anthony Castro for their honorable mentions! Way to go, Falcon Athletes! The Track & Field team competed Friday night in the Sarge Memorial Invitational at Martin County High School. Justin Cannata won first place in the boys' mile and two-mile runs, and Chloe Haley took 3rd place in the girls' half-mile. Many athletes achieved personal records on Friday, most notably Ava Vancour, who shaved 20 seconds off of her two-mile time; and Brooks Seidman, taking 11 seconds off of his mile time. Congratulations to all! ATTENTION: all girls who are interested in playing volleyball next season……..We WILL be starting up our open gyms this Tuesday from 3:15 to 4:30. We will then go into the weight room from 4:30 to 5:30. This is completely optional and designed for any girl who is not currently in a spring sport. If you have the overdue book, please return it and the fine will be removed from FOCUS. Please note: overdue textbooks checked out during this school year have NOT been added to FOCUS yet. JBHS Sports News: Congratulations to Sophia Gannascoli for being named 1st team all-area for weightlifting. Also congratulations to Olivia Gilliard and Grace Thomas for receiving an honorable mention. Congratulations to the tennis team who beat South Fork on Wednesday. The boys are now 8-3. Winning courts for the boys were: Court 1: Sebastian Chen. Court 2: Spencer Belville. Court 4: Logan Hazlett. Court 5: Jaron Minsky. Court 1 Doubles: Sebastian Chen and Charlie Kroeze. The Varsity Baseball team won their game last night as well! Congratulations to the JV Flag Football team on their 39-0 win over Forest Hill. The girls are now 6-1 on the season! They will play at Lincoln Park Academy on Monday at 4 pm, and Varsity will play at 5 pm. The boys’ varsity lacrosse team beat Viera last night 11 to 10! Senior Gio Cascione led the way with 4 goals and 1 assist. Junior Connor Ferreira scored 4 goals. Senior Oliver Moore won 10 faceoffs and the freshman goalie made 10 saves. The boys will host King's Academy tomorrow morning here at Falcon Stadium at 11 am. Way to go, Falcon athletes! The JBHS Track team will travel today for their next meet. The JV Baseball team will play Centennial here at home at 6:00. Come on out to cheer them on! Good luck, Falcon athletes!
