Seniors, if you have an off-block and are interested in earning volunteer hours through tutoring middle school students in Algebra and Geometry, please stop by the Innovation Center and talk to Mrs. Wintercorn about tutoring opportunities at Stuart and Hidden Oaks Middle Schools. The Innovation Center will be opening early on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:45 AM. To enter campus before the main doors open, you must go through the front office and get your ID badge scanned before proceeding to the Innovation Center. Come check it out! JBHS Students, here is a cool Field Trip Opportunity: Immersive Storytelling at Animal Kingdom. $180 includes the park ticket, workshop, lunch, and transportation. The trip is planned for April, but the exact date is TBD. We will leave at approx. 6:30 am and will return to JBHS around 8pm. The Herbert Wertheim UF Scripps Institute for Biomedical Innovation & Technology in Jupiter, FL, offers a 9-week hands-on, paid summer internship for select Palm Beach and Martin counties students working with world-class scientists on our campus. The program runs from June 2 to August 1 and is available to rising junior and senior high school students. Application deadline is March 2, 2024. This is the LINK to apply. Kai Valko -- Girls Lacrosse: The junior was the leading scorer through two Falcons victories, highlighted by a 10-goal effort in a win over Jupiter.

Happening Tomorrow: Class 101 SAT Practice Test – JBHS Cafeteria 8:30 AM (must have preregistered) Students, if you are interested in being recognized for your dedication to setting and achieving your goals, you should consider registering for the Congressional Award. The Congressional Award provides opportunities for young people to unleash their potential by achieving personal goals focused on volunteerism, character development, and fitness. Participants earn Bronze, Silver, and Gold Certificates and Bronze, Silver, and Gold Medals. Each level involves setting goals in four program areas. Sports News Last night the Jensen Beach wrestling team dominated the competition again, winning the District Championship! Jensen Beach scored 326.5 points. The 2nd-place team scored only 207.5. This was the 13th year in a row the JBHS Wrestling team won the district title. The following wrestlers won individual district titles:106-Trey Viens; 126 -Sebastian Degennaro; 132 - Ben Norris; 138 -Blake Walker; 144 - Tavien Smith; 165 - Andy Ellenwood; 175 - Brayden Hogg;190 -Tyson Reyes; 215 - Teagan Nelson; 285 - Blake Elder. Jensen Beach will host the regional tournament next weekend. The top 4 wrestlers at the Regional Tournament will advance to the state tournament.
