Originally from Rahway, New Jersey, Ms. Smith recently made the move to the Sunshine State and brings with her 12 years of educational experience. Beyond the classroom, she has coached a variety of sports including basketball, cheerleading, dance, and step, inspiring students to excel both academically and athletically.

With decades of experience in education, Mr. Hatfield brings an incredible depth of knowledge and passion for student success. He has taught a wide range of courses including Algebra, Geometry, Algebra II, and Honors Pre-Calculus, helping students at all levels build confidence and mastery in math.
Beyond the classroom, Mr. Hatfield has served as a department leader and instructional leader, consistently guiding teams to high levels of achievementโ€”with student pass rates reaching 85โ€“100% on state assessments.

Remember, beginning July 1, 2026, Florida law will require ECG screenings for incoming ninth-grade student athletes and any new student athletes. If you were unable to attend the event, please know that more screening opportunities will be scheduled throughout the school year.

Need an ECG sooner? An option is available through the St. Lucie Health Department (see flyer for details).
