🐯💙 A Full-Circle Tiger Moment 💙🐯
Some moments remind us just how quickly time flies and how powerful connections can be.
Years ago, one of our Tigers, Class of 2027 Senior, Gavin Farrell, had the opportunity to meet Justin Simmons when Justin visited Pinewood Elementary shortly after his rookie season with the Denver Broncos. Like many young students, Gavin was excited to meet a professional athlete and create a memory that would last a lifetime.
Fast forward to today.
As Justin Simmons spoke to MCHS students about staying true to yourself, believing in your dreams, and putting in the work required to achieve your goals, Gavin had a unique opportunity. Not only did he get to meet Justin again, but he also brought along the photograph from their very first meeting years ago.
What started as a chance encounter between an elementary school student and a young NFL player became a remarkable full-circle moment. Standing together once again, Gavin was able to share a memory that had stayed with him since childhood, while Justin saw firsthand the impact a simple visit can have on a young person's life.
Moments like these remind us that inspiration can last far longer than a single day. You never know how a kind word, a photo, or an encouraging message may stay with someone and come full circle years later.

Mr. Biancone's AVID 4 students accepted the challenge and the results were powerful, creative, inspiring, and deeply personal. AVID students are thinkers, leaders, and storytellers.
Each Six-Word Memoir gave students an opportunity to reflect on their experiences, celebrate their growth, and share a glimpse of what drives them toward their future goals.
The project encouraged critical thinking, self-awareness, and authentic student voice while demonstrating that impactful communication does not require many words. From overcoming challenges to pursuing dreams, these six words speak volumes.

Parents will follow their student's schedule to meet teachers and learn about course requirements, content, policies, procedures, and expectations for the year ahead.
