From building reading stamina to growing confidence, our students have come so farโand we couldnโt be prouder. Thereโs something truly special about reading alongside a gentle, judgment-free listener, and our therapy dog friends have made every moment meaningful. A special thank you to the amazing Treasure Coast Humane Society volunteers who support this program and share their calm, loving dogs with our studentsโyour time and dedication help make reading a joyful, confidence-building experience.

The 8th Annual Cardboard Boat Races took over the Martin County High School pool todayโand yes, there were boats that floatedโฆ and boats that absolutely did not. ๐๐
This year was extra fun with middle school joining for the first time!
๐ Dr. David L. Anderson Middle School swept the speed awards in middle school and also took home Most Spirited Team!
๐ Crystal Lake Elementary School dominated the elementary speed awards, while Bessey Creek Elementary School brought the spirit and earned Most Spirited Team!

Extended Day summer programs are open to all students who will be enrolled in grades K-5 at a District-operated school NEXT year. Programs will be held Monday - Friday beginning June 1 and running through July 24. Registration will be held online through FOCUS.

โจ Our 5th graders had a blast exploring the science of light with High Touch High Tech! ๐ก๐ฌ
Students dove into the world of visible light, met the colorful โROY G. BIV,โ and discovered the electromagnetic spectrum. They experimented with overlapping colored lights, practiced reflecting light using mirrors, and even created UV bead bracelets that change in the sun! ๐โก
A huge thank you to our amazing PTA for making this hands-on, engaging experience possible for our students.

Uma earned 1st place, and Dayton received 2nd place for their heartfelt essays about adults who have positively impacted their lives. Both wrote touching pieces about their grandparents, showcasing not only strong writing skills but also deep appreciation and love for family.
Mrs. Mooreโs fifthโgrade class was thrilled to celebrate them today as they were presented with their medals and certificates from MCREA. We are incredibly proud of both of them for this wellโdeserved recognition. Way to go, Wildcats!

Our fifth graders have been studying the structures and functions of flowering plants. This week, they explored how each structure contributes to a plantโs life cycle and overall growth. Through handsโon investigations and flower dissections, our Wildcats were able to see these concepts up close and make meaningful connections to the science happening all around them. ๐ฑ
