Over the next year/year-and-a-half, Saylor will offer incredible learning experiences to our students at the one-of-a-kind Environmental Studies Center. 🧡IGNITING GRATITUDE🧡 This evening's message of gratitude comes from Murray Middle School's Ms. Cheyenne Warren to Ms. Karen Onsager: "I want to thank this staff member for being the most welcoming and kind staff member I have ever had the pleasure to be working with. Since day one she welcomed me with open arms and a warm embrace. She is very compassionate and cares so much about our community and our students. I have grown up in this county and gone to schools in this district. In my 21 years of being here, I have never met a teacher so involved in our students' lives and one that cares so much for their education and well-being. She provides more than an education, she gives them a safe space to be. Her room is amazing and we have kids that look up to her and in their free time come to her room to hang out, read a book, or communicate with her when she is not working with another student. She makes sure they are engaged and learning, she gives all she can to them, provides them fruit and water to help them focus, makes sure everyone feels included and she can tell when one of her students is having an off day. She can tell with one look and let them know she is there for them. She not only takes care of our students, but she is so kind to other teachers, staff, and support staff. This is my first year as a paraprofessional and she makes me feel very appreciated for the work I do. She will get me lunch and let me know that I am welcome in her room as if I were a teacher myself. She leaves her room as a safe space for everybody. She provides water for other staff members, invites them in and never leaves anyone out. She is a role model teacher and she made me so happy to join the Murray team." Stay tuned for more heartfelt messages likes this from our MCSD Family. 🧡 #ALLINMartin👊 #PublicSchoolPROUD #IgniteTogetherMCSD🔥
