โ๏ธ SOLAR ECLIPSE SAFETY โ๏ธ
Reminder: At approximately 1:48 p.m., Martin County will begin to experience a partial solar eclipse.
This happens when the moon passes directly between Earth and the sun, momentarily casting a shadow and blocking the sun's light.
Martin County will not experience a "totality" like other parts of the country and can expect to see approximately 51% coverage of the sun.
It is NEVER safe to look directly into the sun with the naked eye. For more information on how to view the solar eclipse next week, please visit: https://www.martinschools.org/article/1532351

Happy 3.141592654.... Day--also known as Pi Day! ๐ฅง
To celebrate the wonders of this mathematical number, we are highlighting the circle-shaped foods students at Dr. David L. Anderson Middle School recently cooked up!
Whether it's a round waffle or pizza, you can figure out the circumference by multiplying the radius by 2, then multiply the result by pi.
These students are enrolled in the Fundamentals of Culinary Careers at AMS. All five middle schools have an Education Foundation of Martin County Career Exploration Lab or Career and Technical Education programs like this where students get hands-on learning in different industries.
Apply today! Controlled open enrollment applications are being accepted through March 31: https://bit.ly/3wPi213
