Nothing beats hearing it from students themselves! During our visits to JDP, SWE, CLE, and PSE, our 6th, 7th, and 8th grade leaders shined as they spoke to our future 6th grade Stallions about life at AMS. Their confidence, authenticity, and pride gave our incoming students a clear vision of the opportunities, excitement, and community that await them. AMS is ready for the Class of FY27!

Plot Speed Dating in action at AMS! At AMS, learning is active, intentional, and studentโ€‘centered. In Critical Thinking class, students put a creative spin on book talks with Plot Speed Dating after independently reading I Survived novels of their choice. Every two minutes, students rotated to summarize, question, clarify, and compare texts. Strengthening comprehension, oral communication, and analytical thinking through purposeful peer interaction. The room was buzzing with movement, student voice, and excitement as readers became the experts and learned from one another. This is what engaged literacy looks like at AMS, rigorous, joyful, and driven by student choice. Shout out to Mrs. Holland!
