Jensen Beach High School would like to warmly welcome and introduce 10th Grade Guidance Counselor, Mrs. Mildred Herrera Hernandez. Mrs. Herrera Hernandez attended Delaware State University for her undergraduate work and Chatham University for graduate school. About her decision to become a Guidance Counselor, she said, "Since I was in high school, I knew I always wanted to help students become the best humans that they can be. If I could help a student achieve his/her goals in life, that would make me happy." When asked what she likes best about her job, Mildred said, "I love when I am able to help a student overcome some kind of obstacle, or when a student comes into my office upset but leaves happy and smiling."
